just picked this up today and it seems a bit of good fun. like adam though im not overly impressed with the visuals. environments dont look very clean or something. character models and weapons on the other hand look great.

as seems to be the general consensus, this looks like a worthwhile, fun purchase but wont win any goty awards

Spawn-spawn-spawn and ugly and soulless as hell. Was this designed by amateurs? Not counting the controls it's hard to see anything good with the single player part. Multiplayer is decent old school fun - for a little while.

Like I said, only those who don't play FPS will find this special

this game actually makes me think how perfect fpss are on the wii. it just feels perfect. if only nintendo had given the wii a bit more power i think there would be hundreds of quality shooters around

Yes, it's a shame. Single player fps's really can use good looks and multiplayer needs a proper multiplayer infrastructure.

I picked this up today as there isnt much out I want to buy at the moment as far as new releases it seems....

As someone whos played lots of FPS games before, and someone who thinks back fondly to the days when the genre was all about mindless shooting I have to admit the game appeals becuase its so old school, its well designed and plays good, but there is one major bad point....

The bloody thing is knackering my wrists... its ridiculous, I'm in pain after a few minutes of play, anyone have any tips to stop this?

I did try turning the sensitivity up but then i ended up looking all over the place when i didnt want too, it seems the only way to make this game comfertable to play is to make it unplayble.

Oh well, I'm more than half way through the game now though so i guess I'll just stick with it.

i had to buy this as i read mostly positive things about it, being a showcase FPS for the Wii and the like. unfourtunately though, it turned out a pretty generic corridor shooter with solid shooting, good controls (apart from being exhausting) but rather bland design. visually the game is clearly not in the same league with Metroid Prime 3 or Mario Galaxy. apart from a solid framerate, some nice lighting and normal mapping here and there it's ultimately let down by boring environments, a generic story and soulless enemies.

but as i said the shooting was fun and challenging enough to carry me through the single player. there's a big difficulty spike in the first half (Jefferson Memorial) where i had to lower the difficulty to get through this part. but occasionally, when everything comes together perfectly, it can feel a bit like a mix of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

i'd say the game is worth checking out if you are into FPS and don't bother to give your hands some extreme workout.

anyone tried the game with the Wii Zapper? maybe it's more convenient to play this way.
