Trash Panic (psn)

I know there are a few bits of discussion around the japanee version of this but thought I'd go first play as think its worth it.

I'd ignored this on release even though its only ?4 as don't like buying these games blind, yesterdays demo fixed this though and I bought it after only a minute or 2 of play.

This is a very tetris inspired games with bells, and lets get out the way nothing will ever be better than tetris.

The bells are as follow, you are dropping variable size trash into a can, this trash can be broken up by smashing the pieces in and the engine does a good job with the physics here. In addition you get fire and water decomposition power ups to clear your crushed junk.

This is in no means an easy game, took me a good while to understand some of the mechanics but once it clicked I adore it. I'm a bit ocd and the idea of packing in stuff like this really appeals, as my 4h on the game yesterday proves.

Try the demo, if you like it at ?4 this is a bargain

I did buy this on release, not played it much but wow, is it hard or what! One of the hardest games I've played in a while.

I also bought this at release after seeing it in a Giant Bomb Quick Look. It is hard as nails, but the way all the different trash interacts makes it a great game to experiment with. As the objects come in roughly the same order each level, it becomes a more puzzle solving than twitch gameplay.

its the sort of puzzle game I like, a decent pace but not frenzied like say Droplitz recently.

playing it on the 'sweets' easier level helps you get a feel for the mechanics, its so satisfying smashing stuff up and then burning it down with the bin lid shut. not quite worked out the decompostion stuff yet, seems to be linked to the level of water you have in the bin. does get very difficult once you start piling up oil on top of the water as well.

its as good an example of what these type of cheap download games should be.
