Would anybody recommend getting this game over Pixeljunk Shooter?

I'd heartily reccomend you get both as they are both absolutely essential PSN titles imho.

That's probably true but I have a "one game at a time" policy, just looking for something to break up the back to back godofwarring, so it's one or the other. I just watched the trailers on PSN and Shooter looks a little more appealing.

Well I don't see how you could make Shatter your "one game at a time" really, as it's more of an arcade style game, pick up and play for 20-40 minutes when you want a quick burst.

They are both deep, both have fantastic soundtracks, both cheap...I couldn't pick between them.

It's not, that would be God of War 2. I've just finished GoW1 though so I want something light to mix it up a bit so I don't get sick of Kratos. That's why I'm looking for an arcadey title.. I don't need two though, cos I'm going to be playing GoW2 very soon.
