I have all three albums yeah, but then I love all three so of course I bought them outright!

Woah there. With Abbey Road you can only get the songs on the medley (the awesome last half of the album mixed into one big sixteen minute continuous piece of music) if you buy the whole album. The whole album gives you both the medley as a continuous piece of music and broken down into several 'songs', but you can't get any of the tracks separately.

If you're going to buy individual songs, do it for one of the other two albums.

This is assuming you have the 360 or PS3 versions. With the Wii it's different.

Yeah, I've been watching the DLC Dreamscapes on Youtube and just realized you can't get all the songs individually. Will probably pick up "Abbey Road" as an album since I like "Oh, Darling!" and "You Never Give Me Your Money" the later of which isn't available individually. I've never listened to a Beatles album in my life (they're not on iTunes ) so I doubt Rubber Soul and Sgt. Peppers will add any value to the game for me so will still pick up "A Day in the Life" on it's own.

What really annoys me is Harmonix are now saying there'll be no more DLC which means I can't have 3 of the 4 Beatles songs I did like before I bought the game (that being Hey Jude, Yesterday and Let it Be) ...typical.

Really? Aw, crap! I wanted a few songs that were not up yet. Such a let down. Still on the bright side there were 5 songs up there that I downloaded so better than nothing I guess.

Fingers crossed they'll do a Queen one next.

Harmonix haven't said that. According the to Rock band forums, there's still no announcement regarding future DLC.

There was a feature (I think in the Observer) a week or so ago where they were looking what's in-store in 2010 arts and culture-wise and they interviewed someone from Apple Corps about whether the Beatles music would become available for digital distribution this year and he went on to praise the game but said sales of the game and the DLC had been disappointing (particularly in europe) and plans to make the whole back-catalogue of albums available in the game were now scrapped because MTV Games doubt it's cost-affective and Harmonix are moving on to other products.

Although I suppose that doesn't mean there'll be no more DLC, just that we won't see everything. My mistake.

I bought Abbey Road but never got round to buying Pepper. The drum fill in A Day In The Life will be worth it alone.

                    On my to-do list
