great demo ! I love the whole style of the game, the humor is great as well. When the full game is a good as the demo it's gonna be a sure buy for me, I just hope the sales won't dissapoint with all the other big games beeing released around the same time.
Would be great to see an new fresh game getting the attention it deserves...

Went into this, like with Wet, not expecting much. As with Wet, came out having thoroughly enjoying it. Like Wet it's technically nothing special with pretty old looking visuals and simple play mechanics but, as with Wet, the style and appealing imagery.
Like with Wet I think I'd pick it up and really enjoy a thrash through with it... all in all, like Wet, pretty surprising.... especially as it's nothing like Wet
Shame it's out the same day as Uncharted 2

EA will promote the **** out of this game as will Schafer, he was on Jimmy Fallon few nights back as a guest talking about it and when he talks you just get hyped about it
Jack Black is the lead, there are 75 bands with 100+ tracks of quality rock bands on the score, special mention out to Tim Curry who is also in voice cast too, he has gotta be the bad guy
The demo should help sales of this, it was on my list to buy eventually and I was a bit apprehensive about it but after I played the demo, cracked some smiles and just enjoyed playing it I whacked a pre-order down for day 1.
Roll on Rocktober 16th, Uncharted 2 can wait a week or two for me.

what's the chances this will be the next Psychonauts... worshipped by fans but bought by no-one?
Family Fry's already said it...
I think it's much more likely that it will create a whole new army of Double Fine fans and encourage people to pick up Psychonauts. To the celebration of many and the disdain of a few who secretly liked being the only ones who played it.

Well, I was sold in the first few seconds when that gatefold vinyl cover front-end popped up.
Lovely stuff.
If it's as densely packed with lovely touches and humour as Psychonauts was (and the demo lead me to believe so), then it's going to be awesome.
Seems odd to me that people are so down on the demo because of how it plays...It's basic sure, but Psychonauts was downright ropey to play in places, and that didn't stop it from being massively enjoyable from start to finish.
This or Uncharted 2 though....hmmmm.

but, there's no doubt that this is a vastly more massmarket proposition than Psychonauts, and EA is at the helm
