    Drill for Dreamcast

What happened to this shooter? I presume it just got canned?
They release a demo iso, but I can't find a torrent/download for it. Did anyone try the demo?

Dude, I found a direct download for the demo in like ten seconds :P I'd post it but it's an obviously dodgy site.

Ah good point. I only searched for torrents actually. Thanks. I'll give it a go and report back.

Did you give it a try in the end?

I'd have loved to have seen this on the DC.

            "Tomorrow" got delayed.

            Been playing this evening.

I'm a fan of trance/techno and the music in this is by far the best I've heard in any shmup ever.

            Gameplay is really interesting:
A (tap) = shot and fast move
A (hold) = shot and slow move
B (hold) = drill (decreasing) and slow move
A+B (hold) = drill (increasing) and NO move

The drill increases in size all the way up the screen on A+B and decreases in size as you just use B.

Using the drill gets you the combos so points, but you are locked to slow or NO move

Really good hook. I would have loved to have played the full thing.
Graphics are pretty ropey, but animation is cool, with lots of beetle/insect stuff.

The mid level boss was completely missing when I played it - you just see the bullets!

The end level boss fires bright green bullets - green is the way forward.

They should reform and bring this to XBL Indies. I'd pay a few quid to play the full version. I wanted to do a review, but there's not really enough in the demo to warrant it, and it's clearly not finished. Perhaps I'll do a feature of this and other cancelled DC games, like Propeller Arena.

Your combo drops to zero if you let go of the drill (either key combination). Makes it quite intense since the drill only goes straight up. It's not quite the full screen actually, but pretty much.

I loved the demo of this!
Wish they had continued to make it. I always wondered what happened to it and it looked so promising.
