I beg to diff, and GT doesn't have any gameplay or AI . Never has done , never will do .

I enjoyed the demo alot more than the section I played at the Eurogamer Expo. It clearly takes (not even borrows) some gameplay elements from God of War but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think the story/setting should be unique enough to differentiate it from God of War.

Just be glad you weren't playing this like my mate at the Eurogamer Expo!

I wasn't saying its bad game, its quite a good game and already very polished. However, its someone else's good game.

Yes it plays exactly the same as GoW, but that shouldn't be a bad thing when the game is good, and I really liked this demo, dare I say it, I liked it even more as the demo of GoW3 I've played...
I liked the surroundings of this one better as the dull ones from the demo of GoW3, the QTE's in GoW felt better as in this game though.
At this moment I really can't say which one will be the better game, I will wait for the final games to be released and see which one is best game.
Both are looking promising and brutal

              Bad Points:
Nothing original whatsoever and a blatant rip off of God of War

              Good points:
The rip off is so good that this, from the demo, is as good as any real God of War game!

Considering it's the opening of the game, it doesn't even begin to compare to the awesomeness that was the Colossus of Rhodes. It was fun though - just too regular, straight run here, go there, stand in this little room and kill enemies until they're all dead, and barely any hiding that. At no point did it ever make me really think 'Wow', more just a general 'S'aright'.

I'm well behind with games at the moment, but I just played the demo of this today on the Xbox 360. I didn't have a clue what type of game this was before playing, but I was very pleased to find it being just like God of War but on my 360. It also has a very morbid atmosphere, and I really enjoyed the whole experience. One to watch for me.

I had an eye on this for a while and was quite looking forward to it 'til Bayonetta appeared and did everything much better with much more imagination. I feel bad for the developers really, you know, they worked hard for years on a pretty decent game, only for another game to come along at the same time and p*ss all over it.

I have only played demos of both games so far, but I don't feel they are treading on each others toes. Dante's Inferno is very ghoulish and gothic feeling with God of War style combat, while the Bayonetta demo feels more over the top and more like Godhand in atmosphere.

There is easily room for both games.

I thought them quite similar. The first time I played the Dante's demo was immediately after playing the Bayonetta demo and the first thing that struck me was how similar they were in regards to you run around an underworld hacking up supernatural beings with magical weapons. The second thing that struck me was how restricted and slow Dante's felt compared to Bayonetta. It's a pity as I'm a fan of the poem and was looking forward to seeing it brought to life in a videogame.

I loved the demo. Yeah it plays exactly like God of War but who cares?

Its just a shame that its being released between Bayonetta and GoW III, I can see it getting overlooked or put on the back burner by most people.

I quite liked this, particularly the atmosphere, story and voicework. Graphics aren't that good but the effects are excellent.

Not sure how much it copies from God of War since I only played the 1st one once through when it came out and never bothered playing it again or trying the sequel. Dante's Inferno does seem to have far more freedom in it's combat compared to what I remember of GOW1 though. You can guard or dodge cancel your attacks and can string moves together from your scythe, cross and magic attacks. I noticed when you use the cross attack after a weapon slash 3 crosses come out. I'm sure there'll be plenty more scope for experimentation with the full skill tree and that's something which GOW never seem to have in it's combat.

I've just played the demo of this that I downloaded ages ago. I was in an unsettled, couldn't-be-arsed mood, and prior to playing this just stared at the dashboard for about 5 minutes.

For me to enjoy this demo as much as I did in those circumstances is quite an achievement.

To be clear: I haven't got a ps3, so the GOW3 stuff is wholly irrelevant to me. I have, however, played Conan and Viking on the 360. I enjoyed this demo more than both of those games (and I enjoyed those games enough to complete them).

I'm not pretending it's as deep as Bayonetta, or anything other than a rip-off, or anything particularly brilliant. But it was pitched at my level in this genre perfectly. I've never been a combo-whiz in this type of game, I only ever seem to use the same 6-10 moves in any game of this type. Anything more and I can struggle. I defeated everything with ease, which infers I could try a harder difficulty than rock-bottom. It was just an enjoyable mash-up. It may get a lot harder, and require hyper button juggling, but that's just something I'd have to cope with if I continue to enjoy the game.

I liked the setting, the random animations, the crumbling environments, and when that beast appeared (and was available to ride) I though, yep, this is my type of game. Over the top and playable. A cheapy special that I dare say I'll get every penny out of.
