Transformers: War For Cybertron

Ok this is brilliant.

Played through the first 2 chapters and its just an absolubte blast.

Cant say I'm overly enamoured with the metalic look of the entire game but the graphics and animations are great and so far the level design does seem suprisingly vaired, Ive also already experienced a few impressive set peices. I like the way the campaign seems to be set up with you playing the first 5 chapters as the Decepticons who lead an attack on the Autobots and then the remaining 5 as the Autobots fighting back.

As a prequel to a series that many people on here will have have been fans of as kids (or even as adults) so far this seems to be doing a good job of creating a decent story and includes plenty of fan service (including familiar voices and lines of dialogue). Overall its great for fans but I think its a fantastic game in its own right too.

Oh yeah, and nothing beats transforming into a car, racing towards an enemy with your guns blazing, then leaping into the air as you transform back into a robot and slice the said enemy in half with a melee attack.

In short, this game is just FUN.

Been playing this a bit myself, the banter between the characters is rediculous.

Loving it, it just plays so well.

Is this proper Transformers, or Michael Bay Transformers?

To check:

1) Are there racist jive talking robot characters in it?
2) Does it contain badly disguised misogyny, and sexism?
3) When two robots are fighting does it look like someone set off a bomb in a branch of Lakeland?
4) Does anyone, at any point say "bring the rain"?
5) Are there any long, loving pre-rendered sequences showing off American millitary hardware?

If the answer is no to all of the above, then colour me interested.

Nope to everything above, its full on proper Transformers. It takes place before G1.

Its bloody awesome , its like if COD had a baby with UT3 but in a great way ( in 3rd person view ), plus the multiplayer is very varied with the classes all having positive and negative attributes ie scientist can put down turrets and transform into a jet plane and can heal robots, but the negative is your health only has 3 blocks, leaders and soldiers have 6 to 7 blocks, if you love transformers and G1 your going to cream your knickers.

LOVING this Done the first two levels earlier too and it's great fun so far. Can't praise the controls enough, transforming couldn't be any more fluid

I struggled to find it too, 2 gamestations and a blockbuster never had it.
asda had 1 copy luckily...made me late for work all the running around searching

Played some team deathmatch tonight and it's alright I guess. Should have been a FPS though with 3rd person car view.

Story wise I've started with the decepticon campaign. When I finished the campaign I then played the 1st autobot campaign. So gonna zig zag my way through it and see it from both sides.

Ive got a problem with the game , when i invite my friend from the USA i cant join his game and he cant join mine, i had this before with AoT , i can join him if he's in another person game but not mine, any ideas? and my router is open NAT 2 so it aint that.
