    StarCraft II [PC]

Alright, this is pretty great so far. I've only very briefly played the original starcraft (though it came on the usb stick in the collectors edition so I may have a crack) so I can't really offer any comparisons but to say it doesn't look like it strays too far.

Visually, the game is fantastic. With everything set to ultra, some of the detail in the maps is outstanding. The game itself is also great fun. I'm a big fan of the rts genre, but unfortunately I am way too slow to be any good at any of them. I'm not even going to consider playing this online as I know it won't be any fun, but the campaign is doing a good job pushing me so far. I'm finding myself having to multitask (which I'm not good at normally) just enough to keep me on my toes and not enough to feel frustrated at my lack of skill.

The campaign missions so far have also been quality, and are nicely broken up by going back to the bar (soon your ship) and choose your missions, buy upgrades etc.

Thoroughly looking forward to the rest of the game.

Online is suppose to be great, the new battle.net will do its best to match you up to people with the same level of skill as you.

Only played it briefly and i love the attention to detail this game has in its campaign. Never thought they would do realtime high poly cutscenes and they look beautiful. I've got everything running on ultra too and the game is smooth.

Will get stuck into this later tonight, can't play it in daytime as my monitor is positioned in a way its getting the full on sunlight. :/

Does anyone have a guest pass that came with their game that wouldn't mind sharing it with me? I ordered mine from Amazon and they have failed me miserably, really wanted to play this tonight!

Nasty. Might be a good idea to upgrade to 7 at some point. I noticed games run noticably better on 7 than XP.

I'm not usually an RTS guy (haven't played one for ages) but picked this up today (after much delibertion) and I am so glad I did. It is one highly polished and fun to play RTS game.

I absolutely love the user interface. It's superbly implemented, making it a lot easier and simpler for a RTS "newbie" such as myself to get to grips with everything on offer. I also like the "mission hub", it's really well designed and looks fantastic...much like the actual game itself.

I've only played two missions so far and both of them were basically about getting used to the mechanics but I still enjoyed them. Like I said earlier, I haven't played an RTS game in ages so I'm glad the game is easing me in rather than throwing me in at the deep end. It should be interesting to see how I handle things when the missions get harder and more tactical!

I also tried a little of the online 1 vs 1 with a mate and it seemed to work pretty well. Although, for a good 15 minutes or so, I had no idea what I was doing with the Zerg units! Oh and even though I haven't tried out properly myself (yet), it's nice to see Blizzard have implemented an online system (Practice League) where "newbies" such as myself can battle it out with each other.

How long is the campaign, anyone know? And does it have 'replayability'? I ask only because I know I will never dare to venture online...

                              Reports are suggesting 12-16 hours.
