FIFA 11 [Demo]

the fact there isn't a PES demo first play thread says a lot to me.

try both as I think they are both an acquired taste an there won't be many who find both to their liking.

I liked both demos and will be getting both day 1. I was going to start a PES thread but every thread these days seems to just end up with people preaching how much 'better' FIFA is so I couldn't be bothered....

Without reading pages of stuff what is the general consensus so far this year? Fifa or Pro Evo? I have both demos ready to be played tonight when my friend is over, but I'm just curious to see what you all think.

Well Fifa is the better game overall but PES is definately a good football game. I wouldn't be disappointed with either, it is just that Fifa has clubs.

I think both FIFA11 and PES2011 are excellent this year and I'll probably be getting both.

FIFA on 360, PES on PS3.

Unlocked arsenal and the emirates now and this is superb, so much depth to the control and subtlety.

We played both games last night, and we both agree that Pro Evo doesn't feel right. It was clumsy, slow and didn't feel fluid.

Fifa felt a lot better but seemed very easy to score. I know it's only a demo, but I have never been able to score with such ease before.

My first goal worth sharing. A brilliant advantage played by the referee allows Ronaldo to ping in a Rabona cross for Higuain who summons the spirit of Les Ferdinand to get his head on the end of it. Bring on October 1st.

Two games played.

Observations...

- There's about as much room as there is squeezed between two fat bastards having a piss in a metallic trough.
- That pre-substitute 'random player stat focus' little nicety is just annoying.
- Twice I've seen some wank animation, where the ball drops from high in front of my defender, and despite me moving towards it to claim it, the computer overrules me and plants me standing still, enabling the onrushing attacker to snatch the ball unchallenged.
- Barca players are WEAK AS PISS and get shoved off the ball like a dab of **** wiped off an arsehole.

Hmm I kindof know what you mean with some of the players but the like of Pique (and Song for Arsenal or Drogba for Chelsea) feel like they can't be barged off it. Even Messi seems to cling on to the ball whilse being battered all over the place.
I like the physicality of it all really.

Chelsea felt a bit stronger, but I just kept grinding out 0-0 draws, so I knocked it down to beginner.

The 3 minute half length doesnt help, why they did this I'll never know. I play it on legendary and I am winning more than I lose, just about.
