Fist of The North Star Kens Rage Demo

Just got the demo on and it has Japanese voices which is a fantastic start

The Demo lets you choose Ken or Rei, Ken is just a boss fight against Jagi, you can use 4 different Supers which are mapped to the d-pad and you get to a big "QTE" Style finisher on Jagi himself.

With Rei you play more of the normal game again with 4 different supers available.

The graphics look ok but i think they could have been alot better, its not got enough detail for me but i suppose if the enemy count is high in the full game it'll make up for that.

But yeah overall its pretty bad ass, moves feel like they hit really hard it hasn't got the floaty feel of other musou games at all and all the specials etc look fantastic. Feels like i finally got the FOTNS scrolling fighter i've been wanting for so many years!

Doubt i'll pick it up for full price but once it comes down in price i'll pick it up for sure.

Yeah this is fairly bad, or rather its in line with a lot of other anime game adaptions out there. I still remember Guts Rage on DC though, that was one hell of a ride and an exception.

Anyway, this is more SoR than DW and that kind of surprised me. The moves look good but the overall feeling is very sluggish and the environments are bland. I wonder how this one will be priced, I hope cheaper like Basara.

All this made me do is remind me how good the film is and want to watch it again.
Its a prety poor effort for a mdern console, it had so much potential too...!

It feels sluggish and slow and dull to look at. The psone game had a much more varied colour pallette. It doesn't help i have been playing Sengoku Basara 3 before trying this out!

Bought the full game and taken it back. Playing Sengoku Basara 3 at the same time really exposes FOTNS faults & clunkiness. The full game doesn't get better than the demo unfortunatly. Took it back and changed it for Alpha Protocol on Sale, rather waste my time on that.
