Only just got round to giving this a go.

Did they pull this game from the 32bit era, did anyone buy this? Oh dear.

is this the UK version of SENGOKU BASARA 3 (SENGOKU BASARA: SAMURAI HEROES)

Looks tasty and slipped under the radar

I can't seem to find a firstplay for this, but considering the feedback on here, well why bother...

I've been hankering for this game to be cheap enough to buy, and couldn't wait any longer for it to go to sub ?10.

So after a few hours I can see why it got the panning it has got, as a game for the current gen it is not very playable...

But for some reason I am enjoying it lol... Im forgiving the broken sluggish gaming, and have convinced myself that it is hard, tedious, because in typical Japanese style gaming such as Winning Eleven and Demon Souls, it has a steep learning curve (wonder how long that will last)

I think its the homage it pays to the anime movie that has kept me entertainined. It is VERY repetative, highly frustrating, and dull looking for the most part, given its apocalyptic setting.

Ive managed to make it to teh 5th chapter with Ken, and it looks like teh game wants me to play through it atleast another two times so far with other characters that are linked in a time line and cross paths throughout the game. Well, lets see if I can stand Kens storyline first before I even think about subjecting myself to more button mashing.

As you power up your character, it makes the combat that little bit more tolerable, but so far, its the same old same on each chapter.

Somthing that is quite funny is how ridiculously shiny everything is, given the dirt and barren surroundings...

Well, I think ima finish the game for the sake of it lol.... Probably the only person willing to allow myself to be drawn into the RSS (Repetative Strain Syndrone) that if FotNS...

Oh well, Broderlands GOTY next, another apocalyptic setting... Oh joy

I've been playing this since April and I've been really enjoying it!

Maybe I should be posting in the "guilty pleasures" thread!

Yes, it's repetitive, but show me a Dynasty Warriors game that isn't. You pretty much walk from A to B beating up as many people as you can until you meet the boss.

If you're a fan of the series, there's lots for you here. The main characters are really well animated and rendered, the plot follows the manga really accurately and there's a dream mode where all the characters have a happy ending for once.

I've found levelling up the characters pretty addictive and learning new and gory ways to beat people up is always fun.

Fist of the North Star and Dynasty Warriors is a perfect match, but it's 100% exactly what you would imagine it would be like!

                      YES! Quality Chimp!

I was on this again last night and doing chapter 5 took bloody ages... But there is something about this that compells me to go on... Maybe because my expectations are so low that anything different that comes up is like a bonus!

Yes the rendered characters and footage look nice and shiny... I must admit I don't know the original manga, even though I have the TV series lying around somewhere, all I remember is the manga video release from the 80s...

I am SO looking forward to facing Raoh the conquor (sp). I agree, the leveling up system is addictive, gotta ask Quality Chimp, how do you boost the amount of leveling up points you get after each level? I collect those damn blue orbs by damaging every part of the scenary, but it is a labourous task, which is slightly more tedious than some of the cheap bosses...

How everyone stays in shape in an apocalytic setting is beyond me... You'd seriously need to have a good diet, rest schedule and workout plan to stay as buff and trim as most of these characters...

Nice option to turn voices to Japanese ones too

Favourite Raoh quote "THERE, you smell that Rei! That's the smell of DEATH..."
