Finished this yesterday in 2 player with the Missus. I found the only real challenge in this is playing it in 2 player as you can sometimes get in each others way and you have more of a chance on one of us getting hit and losing gems.

I like the graphics style and it's a nice change with some unique ideas but I won't be going back to it because of the influx of releases at the mo (GT5 and DKC Returns in the post).

Anyone looking for a quick 6 hour easy 2D fest should be right at home with this one.

I'm about half way through this now and my history with the series has taught me that despite it's appeal for some it's pretty weak at it's core. However, this is easily one of the strongest titles. It's still a very simple and easy platformer but thankfully doesn't feature overly simple methods like essentially flying over the whole level to the goal post. It's art style and music speak for themselves and there's tons of variety and ideas, off the current rate it'll end just before it out stays it's welcome. Overall, quite decent.

Just ordered for under ?20 on Game's website and came here for feedback. Not many people got it at full price and I was wary too. At this price though, its worth playing through not losing much selling it on. Looks excellent.

I got it for ?25 new at Amazon which I thought was good, I expected it to be a game I'd play through quickly and then sell on but I absolutely loved it. I was going back into levels to get gold medals and all the 3 items cos no I'm not good enough to get all of them first time. I also swore that Kirby was saying "die" when he hits something with his...string? and pretty much has an orgasm when he gets enough beads to go from bronze>silver>gold so all this was amusing and I thought it was great that you don't die, it's like Sonic losing his rings when he gets hit.

Then something went wrong, I found a boss I can't beat and he really annoys me, pretty much breaks the game for me. It's near the end I think, the bird type creature that's a puppet on 4 strings. I can't grab the last string no matter what I do, it seems to drop down and give you a split second to do it which I always miss. So it's already been sold on ebay, I got ?1 less than I paid which ain't bad for the fun I did have!

EDIT: Beat that boss on the first go today, then completed the game, happy I did that at least. Normally I'd prolly keep it longer, collect more stuff, wait till I can try 2 player but I want some 3DS games so it's been sacrificed.

Im on world 3 and mixed feelings so far. Even though there are some nice ideas, why cant Kirby suck stuff in? Didnt know they changed that. Also, it seems aimed at 4 year olds, with the style of storytelling. Its not like nintendo can't make 'kids games' that adults play (see mario) - this feels like something on cebeebies, and I feel an idiot playing it at times!

Didn't think much of it to be honest I thought I played long loading times than actual levels.

Think the only time Kirby can suck stuff up is when he's a UFO later on but that's not in the way you meant. I took the storytelling as tongue in cheek, maybe because I'm cynical and also find the end of level dance homoerotic. I pretty much created as much "adult" content in my mind as I could for playing this game.

Haha, Im going to play like that now. Dual meanings to everything. Its the first game I can recall having to skip the story cut scenes (theres no need for them anyway in a game like this) as they are so hard to bear!

Couldn't resist listening to those, they sounded too kids tv NOT to be sarcastic. "wow you defeated another creature made of string, well done you cock" And all those pop up messages from your "friends" in the flats (if you're doing that, I recommend it anyway) saying they're gonna come over to play. Wait till the last boss when their dancing is interrupted

by a pair of homophobic knitting needles.

This game is a joy to play. It's charms far outweigh it's lack of challenge.
