How many time's did you replay the races Darwock to earn such silly amounts of cash?

I've now got eleven fully upgraded cars and 140-odd million in the bank, and I'm on level 23 without even having touched A or B-spec.

The NASCAR race is extremely difficult. I've golded all of the others and all of the Bonus Race 3 ones on my first attempt, but all I can do is get into 10th place in this one. I've geared the car for 250mph too, and bought the few extra parts available. Any tips?

You can only do each event race once but the pay and experience is good (to say the least). Very useful if you are lower level. My main account is Lv 32 (A) and Lv 23 (B).

I must say I had no intention of doing the second set of Seasonal events until the restrictions were lifted. I am of the opinion that a game should be fun rather than hard work.

I had a NASCAR Camry that I had used in the A spec series which had got its HP up to 892 HP with oil and use. I will be sending it to the other account after midnight so I can win with it there.

For the Seasonal NASCAR 'Ring race, I used Skid Recovery (good for a few seconds a lap by all accounts), Stability on as I had difficulty keeping the thing pointing in the right direction and ABS of 2. Traction control was off. I put Racing Softs on and won comfortably. I think Darwock said he used gearing of 217 mph on a fresh car. I think my gearing was around your 250 mph mark. Downforce was maxxed.

Using the Citroen GT Concept to restore the 2 mil I spent on it!

Those are Japan credits. I've played GT1 in Japanese and found those increased numbers to be very annoying. Like 5,000 for a car wash.

The maximum amount of money you can farm is capped at 20.000.000 (western version).

i was still practising madrid with the focus last weekend, and staring in disbelief at the lap times needed for gold!
Before the third set was added, the Focus and RX7 challenges were incredibly hard to win. What I did now was adding some 15bhp and sport softs to the focus, and I killed the race thus converting my silver into gold.

I think that people who upgrade their car above the initial restrictions should have a trimmed down reward. I put quite a bit of experimenting and tuning into them when they were brand new because they were restricted and not easy.

The new ones I completed with stock settings, only adding different tyres. And they were still too easy imho (taking first place at the 3th or 4th lap without driving that great). But its okay, I am in need of EXP anyway as leveling to 30 is tedious enough as is.

I suspect the restrictions were lifted to make the game more accessible to casual gamers which is good for the game overall.

I think if the rewards were variable, I personally would find the whole thing annoying as it would discriminate against those with inferior abilities. It is not as if you have to fit any upgrades to your car before attempting the races. I suppose if they were variable there would have been no benefit to you in Golding them.

I could only win those challenges with some mild upgrades though I could maybe have got away with more upgrades and switched the Skid Recovery off.

The seasonal NASCAR race is awful. I know the course well yet the the car is an understeering pile of cack.

Worked for me fine. I changed he gearing to 230mph though.

Not sure if this will work as it was intended for another car to get the front end to grip, but no harm in trying...

                  Reduce Rear toe-in by 5
                  Set Front toe-in to -15
                  Soften the Front Spring Rate
Reduce Front Anti Roll bar setting.

For the last two I suppose a 25% reduction would be a good starting point.

Has anyone got an Alfa touring car spare?

                    Comment

I have the Alfa Touring Car in my garage. So, vanpeebles, if you don't mind me "duplicating" it for you, I will happily send one to you.

I was going to send my NASCAR Camry to the alternate account I have been doing the Seasonals on, but I have a few days before that event expires, so I can do it tomorrow. I have a little Extreme Euro Rome racing to do, to restore my main save to have a bank balance in the region of 20 million credits (which bizarrely is the most credits the game will accept). That will take a little while and there may be some more cars that I can buy to elongate the process, so I think I can find enough to occupy my time if I delay progress by sending out the Alfa!

As a matter of interest, does everyone use the Extreme American Indy Race to grind money (which I find boring) or use another lesser but more interesting race to boost funds, like I do with that Rome race.

Darwock have you managed to find something that looks good in Chrome Silver yet? If you would like more, give me a shout!

That would be great! Account name is the same as here. I've only seen the Alfa once in the used showroom.

exp is more important now, i havent found the need to grind money yet. unless you count seasonals on another account. i have about 3million spare on there, and still i think about 6 on my main account. with pretty much every car i want... certainly every one i need.
probably going to go for the ferrari f1 cars at some point. but i'm definitely not going to do ovals for hours like some people do.

now i'm collecting cars just for the hell of it i'll do some of the low normal races for fun, just to drive them. (got three dodge vipers yesterday as i couldnt decide which colour was nicest )

I have managed a fair few levels out of that Rome race. 4.7K Exp a time, in about 6-7 minutes. I know the Indy 500 gives better Exp per minute (over 100K an hour in fact) but I have to take a break every so often to keep from dozing off with the boredom.

Got a "copy" of my mildly customized Mustang onto my main account now. Currently shared! The car got my count up to 680! Also Darwock (I think) it was a repaint, but I only got a chip for the original colour when the car arrived. When my CR-Z did the rounds of all my accounts for the Seasonal they each received a Paint Chip from it.

If anyone is interested my 44 corner circuit from the Course Maker is currently Shared. Seems as if 44 corners is the maximum on a circuit, though I managed 64 on a Tarmac course.

Anyone here missing Photomode locations after doing the Grand Tour? I discovered you can't just Quit after doing a race and return to it a while later. You have to use Next after each race! To get the one you missed do the event that unlocks it and click Next to receive it.
