Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 The Masters (everything)

Having ignored the last 1 or 2 versions of this I tried the demo on 360 not expecting much.

At heart its still the same swingy thing control method (not tried it on PS3 with the move) but I was really surprised at how nice the courses now look (very high def) and how smooth the control felt.

The Road to the Masters mode looks interesting as does the new caddy feature.

I went from totally disinterested to pre-order in about 30mins - appears the PS3 has an exclusive content deal with the collectors edition only costing ?2 more (on GAME) and containing several extra courses. Bit annoying as I like to get 'chievs and prefer the pad on Xbox but went with PS3 as want the courses and I think it has move control too.

Anyway, I always thought golf games didn't take the step up visually they should have so if you're saying this one is better then I'll give it a look. I sort of wish I could get Move for PS3 but don't have the space so I'll probably settle for the crap visuals of the Wii version as I have that in the living room.

In other news, months ago Tiger Woods didn't feature on the cover of this. It was a picture of Augusta and the Masters logo but I seen a picture of this in Edge I think the other day and it was a full on picture of him. What's happened there?

got the full game and its very nice.

having skipped a couple of versions this fells quite fresh and seems a pretty comprehensive definitive golf game.

tried both demos and came to conclusion it looks far better on xbox and the pad on the ps3 is horrible for the swing control.

Fully agree with that, I've skipped a few so it feels fresh. I even spent the dreaded 2800MS Points to freshen up my career with the extra courses. Purely on the basis that I get cheap points mind from Expertzone now and again, otherwise I wouldn't pay ?15 for them!

bloody game, even though I'm playing offline I keep getting disconnected from live (only in this) right near the end of a round and it reboots the game and loses all my progress.

I've got this on PS3 with move - first game in ages I can play in tandem with the missus. By crikey the putting is hard. Really, really hard - or I could just be useless (likely). This is my first golf game since everybody golf on psp and my first Tiger Woods game.

Looks like you have to put in the hours to get the most out of this.

One thing that annoys the crap out of me is the lack of any sort of manual. This is a complicated game with a million modes - I don't know what the hell any of the modes are - EA - PROPER MANUALS PLEASE
