    FEAR 3

This came through the post this morning and I am really enjoying it.The graphics are good and the sound is atmospheric. The AI seems to have been tightened up,l know the enemy would flank you and take cover in the previous games but they seem to be a lot gun happier in the third installment
Pre ordered this from gameplay ?29.99 with the code for the downloadable gun,the hammer.I have just checked my e-mail and they have sent me another code for the shredder weapon, thank you gameplay
If you are a fan of the series then I definitely recommend fear 3

Well I'm on interval 4 and to me fear 3 has the better level design of the threeit does feel restricted and on rails with the odd multi route level but the lighting and shadows are impressive per usual but I am enjoying it.Hope others on the forum has this title to see their views

I'll be playing it at some point, won't be any time soon though, too much else on the go at the moment.

Picked this up this morning along with SotD and played it for about 30 minutes between packing up my flat.

It's good. I really enjoyed the first two F.E.A.R games and this feels like a natural extension to those. The combat is good and the weapons I have seen so far are suitably meaty with great audio. The A.I of the enemies seems solid with them taking up positions and flankin to try and flush you out of hiding.

Graphically it's as nice as dirty prisons and degraded buildings can look. Hopefully some of the later levels will break up the brown monotony.

        Good stuff - I likey!

I'm also currently just starting this, had a quick go on the MP and it look fun. Just hope the userbase is there on the 360 to support it long term.

I hope the level design & colour does improve because Interval 2 looks really basic at times.

Still loving the gunplay though. The shotgun is meaty!!

Only played the first level of this so far, its good, relativley challenging on hard, and as mentioned the combat feels good, uit has the kind of intense firefights you epect from a fear game, with debris flying all over the place as you shoot rooms to bits.

One Major problem though is just how dark the game is, The previous two games were very dark as well, but this one just seems to be in pitch black 90% of the time, the flashlight doesnt relaly help much either as its a bit pathetic, wherever you point it, it only seems to light up the tiniest circle, and it doesnt help you see much at all really.

I stopped playing games on the "recommended" gamma setting years ago. I now use the "you should barely see the shape" thing as "you should clearly see a bright shape". I'm tired of games giving me eye strain for 'atmosphere'.

Anyhow I'm playing this now. This is certainly a game for the acheivement ho's, I actually quite like how they're linked to the upgrades you can get.

The game is completely lacking in scares and the story is trash but the combat is fun enough to make it enjoyable despite that.

Finished this earlier, intervals 6+7 to me was greatlike the way you can carry on with your upgraded character once completed(take note shadows of the damned)

I'm still pretty early on in this but so far despite the gunplay being fun it's a disappoint which as yet is failing as a F.E.A.R game. Zero atmosphere, poor pacing and waves... it's far more COD than F.E.A.R. Hopefully the later sections can drag it out of genericsville

I really feel like giving up on this. They've completely botched the horror elements and tone of it and I was spot on it seems as every level feels like 3rd rate COD. Next time I know. No Monolith, no sale
