Well this turned up today, put a few hours in so far & it's lovely. In the current stakes of things im ranking it above the DS version but all of them are great, the stages this time around are pretty funny it has gotten quite a few laughs out of me so far, im loving the updated graphics & the music sounds fantastic now that it's on a home console & not playing compressed audio through tinny low quality GBA & DS speakers.
First up the essentials, it controls very solid & super accurate. You either use the A button or both the A&B button together, thats it, no waving the remote to control anything. Secondly i was slightly worried about this running on a HD tv due to the lag but i didnt have to worry as the timing is perfect, not even sure if you get lag on a wii but thought i'd mention it as it affects music games when playing on 360.
Same setup as before, 4 stages then a remix. The medals are still in for geting a high level rank & the P perfect campaign challenge is still in. You can unlock rhythm toys & the endless games as you play & win medals. The 2 player levels are on a different screen & they are blanked out exept the first one so im guessing as you beat them the next unlocks.
Oh theres a new feature added too in the main game, when you start a stage & it teaches you how to play. Well on top of learning the way the stage works you can now press the 1 button on the remote & the screen zooms out a bit & the computer takes over so you can see the timing of how your meant to be controlling it. It's a really handy feature on some of the trickier stages.
This game has to have the smallest Nintendo manual ever it's literally nearly leaflet territory weighing in at a whopping 5 pages
Well thats it so far, really enjoying the new entry to the series & they didnt manage to screw anything up HURRAH
