I'm still confused with this, on one hand it's a beautiful unusual beast oozing with a lonely atmosphere, but that kind of isn't enough, there is a distinct lack of challenge or danger or skill involved in the game and at times it can be a bit boring.

Is it similar to World of Goo, i.e. amazing gameplay and presentation, but just no challenge apart from 5% of levels?

At least WoG had an OCD mode, although it should have been the default, with the option to drop to an easier challenge after a few attempts.

With these types of games most of the challenge really comes from working your way around the map doesnt it? None of the Castlevania games that are done in this style are really challenging as far as combat goes but it doesnt take anything away from them either.

Having said that Ive died a few times in this anyway, so I wouldnt call it overly easy.

Just finished this, have to say, I absolutely loved it!
Probably took me about 7 hours but haven't found all artifacts and haven't tried the lantern run.

I haven't played a game in ages where I've finished it in a couple of sittings through just being totally enthralled! literally hours, vanished!

Any Metroid fan should get this, I guarantee by the end you will have totally fallen in love with it

I've got to the end and I have no idea at all how I feel about it. It's quite a weird feeling. For some reason I wanted to get to the end but I'm not really sure why that was, there's not really anything at all in the game to make me want to do that. I look back and all I can think is how boring it is, but yet still I was fine playing it.

              Most odd.
