The way it saves doesnt make much sense. You need to actualy complete side quests before you turn the game off, if youre half way through any side quests it will not save your progress (which really defeats the purpose of having loads quests active at once but there you go)... I dont know if it is the same with the story missions, but it probabaly is.

Not entirely enjoying this game. It doesn't go the whole hog ala Oblivion/Fallout as an RPG yet it doesn't keep me hooked with loot like Borderlands did. The tedious fetch quests aren't engaging me like Deus Ex did, either.
It's a shame, really. The idea is pretty good but I am finding it very tedious. Glad I rented it.Last edited by Dezm0nd; 10-09-2011, 11:33.

Did a few missions from the start of Chapter 2 again, saw the logo and it's definately saved my progress upto that point, carried on completing a few more sidequests and the logo suddenly stopped appearing and it hasn't saved those. Trophies aren't unlocking either, it really is a mess of a game.
I've got a launch PS3 and updated to the 1.1 version before starting the game for the first time, don't know if that makes a difference as some people are playing the PS3 version fine with no issues.

Decided to delete the 1.1 update from the hdd and canceled when the PS3 told me there was an update available, now running the 1.0 version and everything saves and trophies unlock, can finally get back to enjoying it now

Some of the earlier missions as Dezm0nd said are mainly fetch quests but some of the ones I was doing towards the back end of chapter 2 felt a bit more involved, it pays to explore as well as you'll find plenty of survivors to help outside of the main mission areas which aren't all fetch quests either.
Also has some great touches as well, one of the funniest was me legging it from 5 zombies as all my weapons were broken, ran down a flight of stairs with them still giving chase and they ragdolled one by one down to the bottom all dying.Last edited by Phar; 10-09-2011, 17:11.

I'm upto Act II now on this, the first act was good, enjoyed the theme of the holiday resort.
Its a game that seems alot more enjoyable playing with a few people, one thing though is on Act II the difficulty seems to ramp up quite alot, I find myself dying quite often, I guess I need to upgrade my weapons more.
Good game for me so far though, glad I picked it up.
If your waiting for it to go second hand just wait a week and i'm sure some will have traded it for Gears 3, especially since Game are giving ?35 trade in on it towards Gears.

Get it pre-owned from next week when Joe Bloggs finds out its not Call of Zom-Duty and starts returning it
I know I will enjoy this, but after getting stung so many times by buggy Fallouts and their ilk I am waiting til its patched up. That will coincide with it hitting ?17.99 hopefully!

Getting to Act 2 took me by surprise a bit as I thought the whole game was based
in the resort area, the city gives the game a completely different feel
, this act has definitely been the highlight so far with the introduction of
human enemies,
really enjoyed the
firefight against the looters in the Supermarket

Everyone I've spoken to said "First thing I did was turn the sensitivity down", myself included - felt like I was hovering.
If so many people spotted it, why didn't the devs?
Moreover, the intro cinematic is just plain bad, and given how well they've used music and video for trailers, the opening is baffling - all swearing and aggression - doesn't give a good first impression at all.
