I picked up both this and Darksiders in the free PSN+ package, and it feels like they're both the same game, I appreciate the ascetic that Space Marine brings, absolutely feels like the 40K universe, but the game just feels uninspiring, perhaps I'm getting too old for this ****.

I thought Space Marines was great actually, especially for a free title. What I liked about it is its Roman-British esque Empireness which is far more palatable than the obnoxious American grunts which usually typify the shooter genre.

So, 20 seconds is enough to deem game "****".

I also picked this up on the free PSN+ offer..

Really enjoying it, actually quite surprised how much. It feels really solid and chunky the voice acting is good and it gives you a real feel of the 40K world, and I love the fact that the Orks are all cockneys, it makes a change to kill something with a bit of personality.

The single player campaign feels quite generous too, I'm on chapter 16, so coming to the and but so far it's felt about right.. I've died a few times but it's never felt frustrating.

Some enemies sit back and take pot shots at you while the bulk rush up close to try and surround you, if there's cover I'll try and take out as many as possible before they get close then activate the special and go into close combat.. It's quite satisfying And even better when you get the Thunder Hammer

I wouldn't have paid full price for it, but then the last game I paid full price for was Uncharted 3...

I'm pleased some people got value out of the ps+ but it was as dull as **** for me horrid control shouldet charge, kill. Still nevermind at least infamous 2 was a good freebie. Probably don't help that I think warhammer is bobbins too like

This game is best played on coop mode with 3 mates. The single player was average but it's superb battling away on coop with 3 mates against swarms of AI baddies and bonus waves.

I'm now around Chapter 8, it's starting to drag for me to be honest. I've no idea if it's an accurate representation of the Warhammer universe but I'd hope not as it's setting, characters etc are dull as hell. Gameplay wise it is rock solid and plays alright with what it does, the main problem is that it's like the dev's made an area and then clicked copy and paste to make the campaign. It's too basic to stretch out as long as it is. If I'd bought this on release I'd be gutted but treated like a the low cost PSN game it's been for me it's okay and I'll stick with it.

Recently completed this after stopping half way and got to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the story even though Im not a Warhammer fan and the twists in the story totally gripped me. Maybe this is due to me knowing nothing about the warhammer universe.

I was surprised at the final boss battle, didnt expect that.
