    Tekken Hybrid Ps3

I was looking for this and one store carried it but I had to fish it out of some bargain bin, lol.

I'm happy with this, its a fun package.

    TTT2 Prologue
    .

Its very good. Graphics are kind of ****ty, worse than Tekken 6, but its a prologue and it just takes up 1gb or so. Gameplay is really responsive and fun though, and the music is sick. If the final game gets the visuals up to Tekken 6 Ps3 levels, then you've got one of the if not the best 3D fighter on the Ps3. You can now change the screen to Arcade which places the HUD further away.

    Tekken Tag Tournament HD

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Full HD, AA and looking clean as a mofo. Even the FMV looks really amazing although its being kept in 4:3 (the game is widescreen though). This is possibly the best HD port of a Ps2 game I've played. There are quite a lot of trophies, but no Platinum. And there is no Online play which is really a shame seeing how fricking good this conversion is.

    Blood Vengeance

    Dunno, supposed to be ****.

Disappointingly though, everything is unlocked from the start including the Tekken Bowling :/

Those who've played the arcade version of TTT2 say this version looks much worse that. Arcade TTT2 is supposedly the most graphically impressive fighting game yet so it's a shame few outside of Asia will ever get to see it.

I played T6 arcade and that looked better in the arcade too compared to PS3/360 but the difference here is apparently even greater. Hopefully they'll close the gap in the final release, and maybe the WiiU might be capable of a perfect port.

TTT2 Arcade runs on an upgraded Ps3. The difference is perhaps comparable to the PSX and System 12. We can't really expect a perfect port of this. The time for a new generation of consoles is slowly approaching. We could have had far better versions of games like this, and Battlefield etc on those.

That Tekken 6 looked worse made no sense as the hardware was similar to the Ps3.

They did that sort of thing with TTT1. The arcade TTT1 was on an upgraded PS1 board and ended up getting ported to PS2 for launch with much improved graphics. That's the version the TTT HD in this package is based on.

That could happen with Tekken vs SF, It's taking so long and if that too gets arcade exclusivity for a year it might end up getting pushed to next gen.

I don't think Tekken x SF will be an arcade game, SF X Tekken isn't for example. But I do think Tekken X SF will end up on possible next-gen systems. Its really far away and planning isn't going all that smooth according to Harada. It will be released well after TTT2 which means 2013 at its earliest.

I can see TTT 2 ending up on both if its a fighting game that will last as long as the original TTT. An upgraded arcade perfect port would be a decent digital release.

It's hard to even see how TxSf will work. SFxT has leant very in the direction of SF to keep it all roughly in check and a Tekken styled version would reek of the EX series

You can easily add the Tekken chars in 2D, give them the SF style normals and make some of their trademark moves specials and or supers, and just add fireballs to the mix. SF has less moves than Tekken so its just a case of removing a ****load of moves and stances.

But adding SF in 3D Tekken style means that the SF fighters basically have to have a plethora of added normals, no fireballs and no super combos either. So where you can actually keep the trademark moves in when it comes to Tekken chars in 2D, you actually have to remove all those from the SF chars when entering Tekken 3D. Unless you're indeed just going to make SF EX, which favors SF just like Ono's project.

As SF x Tekken is actually just some sort of SFIV with tag mode, they might as well just re-skin TTT2 with SF models.

Hope I can bring my mate out of retirement to catch up on TTTHD, some of my best gaming moments ever had were whilst playing on a JAP import machine. I remember us discovering the infinite Mishima headbutt counters and laughing like a loon trying to perform these against each other until the other one died LOL So many nice tweaks were present in this game over T3 which was already a good game.

Cant believe how much better TTT2 arcade looks over PS3 demo, they should just aim for PS4 launch title instead IMHO.

how can it really look so bad? tekken 6 looked particularly poor I always thought. the environments were terrible with really muddy, low res textures and crappy design. It honestly looked worse than some ps2 games in my opinion.. The ps3 can do way better than that. I just think namco have kind of given up a bit.

If they just got some coders and artists who were capable of making games for current gen consoles there would be no talk of PS4s round here.
