Moved onto Crash Time 3 now and the differences appear slight but there. The game engine is exactly the same with many reused assets. The mission count seems streamlined and smaller too. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of new vehicles but at least it's a new city. The added shooting mechanic is very clunky and clumsy but there's a slight aim assist which allows you to maintain some focus on steering. The most annoying thing so far is the sepia tint they've added, presumably to distinguish it from CT2. The added night cycle looks alright though. So far, it's very map pack style but I guess coming 1 year after CT2 and from an 8 person staff team means what's been done is reasonable.

Started up Crash Time 4 which represents the devs first attempt at making a game on PS3. I remember the demo on 360 being very very similar to the previous two games which sounds right considering how close they are to one another.
Once again it looks like the same engine and a mostly similar looking city to the ones in previous games. The dialogue is still hilariously bad and the car selection seems to be very similar to the usual. Set up wise it's a little closer to Crash Time 2 with missions starting via an area selection screen. Cars control pretty well again too and the poo sepia colouring of Crash Time 3 has been dropped. The main difference here is that the devs clearly struggle with PS3 hardware. The PS3 version arrived after a lot of delays and whilst perfectly playable it is victim to framerate drops and tearing when things get busy. There's also zero anti-aliasing at work too.
