The story and characters are fantastic too... Although I do have to wonder what Drippy is like in Japanese, as in the English dub he's incredibly welsh. In fact I'm glad I went English, I can't imagine Japanese voice acting goes well with his subtitled dialogue.
Well seeing as how I have played it I think I can think what I like. You are entitled to your opinion but dont try to change mine. I'm still waiting for a game you don't give a 10 to, what will it be Superman on the N64

      Eh?

I don't give many games a ten. Think I have Only given a few tens the whole time ive been using this site. Unless you count DMC, which I only did because some idiots gave it 1 without even playing it.

Pretty sure if you view the Polls on here I haven't given many other tens, sure you will only find a few... Although I may end up giving this one, its a truly amazing game and so far it's the best RPG I have played in years.

edit: I've looked, I think I've give about 6 tens. And I play a lot of games so thats not much.

The demo didnt do much for me beyond the graphics...

Typical JRPG in fancy dress then?

I'd say if you don't like JRPG's you won't like the game as it certainly is one. However if you do like them you will adore it because it's a top tier one. Which is something we rarely get these days. It has a certain magic that many games don't. It feels very special.

Iffing and arring over this tbh, i want something which isn't going to be still consuming all my game time when metal gear comes out, i guess thats where my hesitation comes from. Probably grab it when it comes on sale eventually on PSN.

I want to support it with full RRP really, but i'm a hypocrite all the same!

You can buy mine - having said I'm pretty sure you know what I think of it. I play lots of JRPGS mainly from NIS America as they are about the only company still localising so maybe I'm jaded. It's very similar to the Atelier games but with less humour unless you like a Welsh bloke from Gavin and Stacey. If you haven't played one since say Lost Odyssey it will seem spectacular, if you are still playing others maybe not so much, its certainly no Persona 4 or FF7,8,X

Did you really take what I said seriously? Enough to actually check how many things you gave a 10 to

Not played that many jrpgs really. Got confused in the first boss battle. Because it went into battle arena mode I assumed that it was basically rock paper scissors. Didn't occur to me that I could move my dudes far enough away that he couldn't hit me! Such a noob. Anyway so far I like it but Tue last jrpg I played was wkc I think so my opinion doesn't count for much.

Don't worry FSW. The same thing happened to me in the demo. And I've played quite a few JRPGs.

                    What's wkc btw.?

I really don't think I'm going to add any further to this. Carry on.

There is no doubt in my mind that this game is massively overhyped because of the Ghibli involvement. It looks pretty much standard RPG fare with stunning visuals.
