It's funny. Myself and my mate roll Kazuya and Heihachi too, but we're rocking easy input gems.

Watching the opponent try to fireball only to be met with an infinite wavedash that screams through their projectiles is FUNNY.

The amount of people we've had screaming at us for it is brilliant.

Most if not all of the Tekken characters have been given ways to go through, over or under projectiles. I think there's a decent chance that as this all shakes out the shotoclones are going to turn out to be weak options.

Lot of people on the streams using Hugo and Raven. Hmm.

I've completed several of the trials now and, like SF4, I can guarantee you that you are wasting your time with 95% of them. They would never seriously be used in a match as there are much easier combos out there that do more damage.

Don't discount the shotos too much, their c.MKs are still insane pokes and can confirm into high damaging tag combos, especially now that backdash is nerfed. Dudley could be viable now thanks to nerfed backdash as well.

I'm now using Abel and Marduk. The mix-up potential is off the hook.

Tried a few games online and connection wise results are wide ranging from decent to awful. Didn't have a single non-Lillith, Ryu, Ken, Akuma match up though. I'm going to have a couple of games with my mate but beyond that this is an SP experience through and through for me.

This game looks fantastic and runs brilliantly too (PS3). Its like a Sega game of old, all bright and arcade colours, looks lovely.

Glad to see a tutorial time around, its about time Capcom did one, although not perfect, its a start. The gem stuff is largely lost on me, I don't get it, given the onscreen displays its hardly intuitive.

Disappoints me to see the ongoing trend of having just about sweet FA in terms of the offline content. I'm not a online fighter, the competition is too feral and bitchy, so some offline content would of been welcome, having just Arcade and Mission mode just does not cut it (trials is more of an extension to training).

No idea why survival mode has been dropped from the last few Capcom releases.

i think my 2d fighting game days are coming to an end - i just cant feel the love anymore :-(

this is a fantastically good looking and sounding game, but i think it plays rather strangely. The tekken characters i used, played like wooden stick men and the flashing colours of the gems activation was very off putting. I'll give it another rip, but its looking like a trade this this week.

My copy has finally turned up. The plastic piggybank is really quite cheap, and an absolute bugger to snap together. The comic is very silly as well. Thankfully there is one DLC code for the whole set of gems, not the 4 or 5 codes I was expecting (it has all the various retailer exclusive gems in one go)

actually from the 3rd move its easy enough but the 2 startup lights are making me rage!!

king is definatly one of my characters i'm gonna use just need someone else for him to gel with.

Played quite a bit of this offline on Sat with some amigos (inc. Shoju and Street Turk from these parts), and quite enjoyed it. It sure doesn't feel it'll take long before the entry-level skill requirement will be pretty high though, which is a little sad given I know I'm not going to have the time to commit to this for the long haul.

For now I'm definitely sticking with Hugo (having super armour on your charge special is awesome), but am still undecided as to who else to use. I like some of King's moves but I'm not sure how useful he is in real-world matches. Rolento is looking like he'll be particularly filthy but I'm not sure I'd like playing him.

Endless combos are the bane of any fighter- and there seems to be alot of them here from what ive seen...

I gave it an hour earlier, and cant be arsed to return to it...say alot more than I ever could to be honest.

I literally flogged my ps3 copy a couple of hours ago, it was listed on here too tons in stores up here I'm sure it will filter down to Leeds soon enough
