    Controller config???? er... I must be missing something. I'll have a nose tomorrow.

    What's the difference between arcade and original? Apart from where you restart.

      At the very first boot the game has the standard pad config set (I think). On the mode selection screen, the option entry brings to the controller configuration page, where you can set buttons or revert to standard configurations. The standard for the arcade stick is decent, you need to assign the morphball button because it's not assigned to anything in the standard layout and you'll need the morphball to complete later levels (one of the many errors I spoke about).

      Arcade and Original only differ when you restart after a continue.

            Meanwhile, the music on stage 1 is a bit limp, but loving the music on stage 3 and the game over tune too.

              Agree with most of that dude, although I've been using the bounce shot almost exclusively instead of the spread shot. Changing weapons is easy if you just hit each box once per second and since many of the boxes are also platforms that you shouldn't be destroying, this is generally a good plan anyway. It was the same in Turrican too (hard to grab a particular weapon type if too hasty).

              I think my main complaint is that the exploration needs a slow approach, but gameplay makes you want to just bounce around the levels as fast as possible, and zoom with the ball. Other niggles like hit detection and graphical business become less of an issue at slower speeds, but this reduces the fun. The AI is pants though.
