I never understood the appeal of this game on the dreamcast what do people love about it? Is there something in the gameplay or is it just the music and syle of it

The stuttering is both mentioned and evident on the Giant Bomb quick look (360).

For me it's the mix of the music and the visual style. There are very few games like it, even moreso now when we're drowning in gray and brown first person shooters. For me, even although the gameplay is only decent, the concept and the presentation are very refreshing.

Just watched the "documentary" that's in the "Bonus" menu. Pretty disappointing, the usual light EPK fluff.

I've completed the tutorial and completed 3 of the early levels on the XBLA version. The only stuttering I've seen is on the loading screen.

Listening to this. Downloaded the demo. May well buy it but I have it on DC and setup already!

Never actually played this myself but had a good look (and listen!) When a mate showed me this on the dreamcast, if it looks even better and plays well I have no doubt about buying it on the 360.

Looks to me like a game played for hours on end due to it being so fun.

Finally the XBLA release of Jet (stutter) Set (stutter) Radio (stutter)

At first I thought it was just me but the stutter, became very clear very quickly to me and my brother, seems to occur about once every two minutes in game. You get a minor freeze and a stutter in the music.

Another classic HD port ruined, it looks fantasic but the HD stutter just ruins it, back to the Dramcast version for now. Sega needs to get their act together and patch this issue, if they couldn't be bothered to fix it for the release. Big disappointment that they allowed this to happen to such a classic game.

I might try the PS3 version later today to see if that also has the stutter issue.

Weird, I'm not seeing anything (except on the loading screen). I'll take a closer look this evening.

Are you playing the trial or the full game?

I don't have any stutter here on my X360 (fat version).

I just booted up the game today and found that... it doesn't auto save.

Oops. That something I've gotten used to with modern games!

Umm - how DO you save in this version?

On the Dreamcast I remember it would ask to save to the VM after nearly every level? How do you save on the 360 version?

Never mind, turns out it does auto save. So I wonder why it didn't save yesterday's progress. Weird...

Huh - I thought it was a nice extra to a 800 point classic download ; you'll not see that type of fan service in other classics downloads .

Yep not issue of problems on my 360 version - Its quite amazing how good this game looks, sounds and plays today . Hope JSRF follows now ...

Well downloaded the PS3 version trial and that seems to be much better, you only get a slight stutter when the music changes. Sound mixing isn't quite right in either version also.

Everyone I've spoken to has had the stutter problem on 360 you guys playing at 1080p over HDMI? Stutter could be linked to the auto save or 360 profile sizes as the new dashboard can't handy large accounts and it is effecting some games. This type of issues is a C class, so Sega or MS could easily get a waive on it but it will destory sales, hopefully Nights won't have this problem.
