In my defence, I only used it twice for when I'd worked out a solution, but failed it a couple of times due to lacking the dexterity needed (some of the time travel ones, which reset when you touch yourself). Basically I was impatient. Standing waiting for the bar to charge fully can take a few seconds.

Shoot one door with L, wait for the bar to charge, then shoot a second one with R and go through it. You'll pop up through the first door you shot, with an earlier version of yourself standing there. When he shoots the second doorway and runs through it, follow him and you should see three of yourself now. Repeat for more dudes everywhere. Though be careful when following him not to touch him - at least until you've got the time suit, which protects you from paradoxes.

    EDIT:
Aha! Finally done it. Took a few goes, even with the video. Trick stuff indeed.

Who is the dedication to - a relative? I hope I didn't offend saying Prof Ed in the game sounded insane, I didn't realise it was possibly connected to a real person.
I figured that out yesterday you have to follow your your first clone round after he makes the second time portal the puzzels from that get pretty impressive espically when you get the option to use all the guns. i think in a platform game having to dodge yourself to not cause a paradoxe is the best enemy in a game ever

I know what you are saying about the bar taking a while to charge espically when you extend it i does take a while espically when you hit yourself and have to start again a handy little fast forward would have been handy

One question for smudgedcat if you are still reading this did microsoft ever give a proper reason for not being able to play xblig offline ?

And also one area i would say you could improve the game is i had a problem because i rushed forward with the time travel gun as when you first get the item it gives you a handy little explanation of how to use it but that is the only time you get to see it you should have included something in the options menu or the map sceen explaing how to use the items .

I think MS insist you have to be online to play XBLIG titles so that if a game is found with offensive content they can pull the game and ensure that no-one will be able to play it again. I don't know if that was ever given as an official reason but that seems to be the accepted reason.

Not sure about a PS mini release, I'd like to port it to other platforms but the initial sales figures suggest I won't be able to afford to do that!

I've heard someone else mention that the time travel stuff is sufficiently confusing that it warrants being able to view instructions about it. I'm planning on adding something for a future release.

Still early days though. Maybe through word of mouth the publicity will grow...

Saw your tweets about some reviewers saying it's too difficult. I'm very surprised - the blue orbs negate any difficulty.

        EDIT:
Haha! Just noticed the sprite for Ed is correctly drawn for the left and right. No ambidextrous arm switching going on here. It's always bugged how in games like Street Fighter the eye-patch on Sagat switches sides when he turns. So I usually notice these little things.

I can't recall the name of your artist in the credits, and I'm sure no one is as pedantic as me to notice and comment on it - but let them know that yes, one extremely pedantic player spotted it and was pleased. Kudos!

I definitely will. I actually remember discussing this with him and saying "pffft, no-one will even notice, we should just always have the gateway arm at the front". He'll be very pleased to hear you say that!

Finished it last night the last puzzle was brilliant bloody hard thought but i felt that i was slowly chipping away at it so it had a slow sense of progression my solution was completely different for the last puzzle i think mine seemed less confussing than the video as i never had to jump through the warp portals the only problem was i couldnt see the top switch so i had to jump and make sure it was connecting

I found a slight proplem with with one of the puzzle the one called the beast you could if you wanted to finish it easy than what you had planned if you could open up the bottom 2 metal door and get behind them you could just warp in the lazer and richotet it to the switch in stead of doing it the proper way

Is there really a proper and improper way, though? Surely the sign of a good system is that you've got the "conventional wisdom way", and then a series of wacky (perhaps easier) alternatives?

Hmmm,... that is definitely a cheat! Not sure what I can do to sort that. I'll need to have a think.

                Thanks for mentioning that.

Bought this on the strength of this thread and the Console Arcade review. The demo wasn't long enough for me to get a handle on it.

Totally amazing. I'm still on the normal portal guns, but I can see into the future of the progression based on the puzzles that I can't do yet.

No problem i just wasnt sure if you would understand what i ment i would be a pain to fix i would presume as you need to have a way to get out .

Do you have any plans for any more games? And if you want my suggestion for a game i would suggest a platformer with just the rotation mechanic where you could instantly rotate either way 90 degrees i reckon you could get something really interesting going with that

I gave you 5 stars on the xblig games section to hopefully bump you up above some dribbly games that are either a minecraft knock of or has zombie in the title

Big fan of Shuggy, and after reading this thread decided to pick this up... and it's only 80pts currently! Half the price of a Rock Band song... Insane price for such a great little game

A good write up from Sketcz

The only thing you should change is the game has been lowered to 80 points which is a steal really i was more than happy with the 240 points i spent on it.
