E.X. Troopers demo (JPN 3DS) review

Fast and fluid gameplay, weapons that feel like they do damage and a robot boss at the end. Great stuff.

The manga look to the game is very Viewtiful Joe, and I would probably describe the game as the bastard love child of VJ and Lost Planet that was raised by Phantasy Star Online.

You can also get Rathalos armour from Monster Hunter too! Love it, shame the 3DS version is local multiplay only.

I had a play through of the demo of this yesterday afternoon - and man, this game is gorgeous.
The game looks as if it was specifically designed in a manner to show the 3DS as it's best. It really is gorgeous.

I found the camera to be a little difficult at first but then I got used to it by the end of the demo.
Same goes for the fun 'boosting' mechanic, I didn't get it at first but man, it's fun.

The demo didn't include any sections that allowed us to pilot a mech, disappointingly.

If Animal Crossing wasn't out soon then I'd be picking this up - but frankly, the 3DS Japanese lineup is TOO good coming up to Christmas.

Nah, only in the full game sadly.

I know exactly what you mean about the line up, and don't forget Fantasy Life out December 27th from Level5. This will be going away for Christmas for sure.

I think the rumour was Japan-only, with the West getting Lost Planet 3 instead.

There's a PS3 demo, and the PS3 version is out.

Anyone have this? I want to ask questions in First Play, but no one seems to have imported... Maybe I should just take the plunge?

I have the 3DS version on the way but it's going away for christmas.
