There a nice present when you go onto online it it came up on christmas day a new character alex the kidd which is nice from sumo and sega i have to admit but why isn't he in his little bubble helicopter thing a missed opportunity .

I got this with my Wii U for Xmas alongside Mario and Zombi and have sunk more hours into this than the other games combined.

The framerate isn't an issue at all bar from perhaps 1 stage and it plays excellently on the gamepad.

Got the limited edition ps3 version for xmas and so far so good I have to say.

I have 2 small gripes. The game lacks a sense of speed at times, and being new to the game I am finding some course layouts a tad confusing. Have found myself suddenly going the wrong way on a few occasions.

Other than that I am impressed. Lovely courses, some great nods to segas past and what would appear to be a load of content for a bargain 20 quid.

In local coop custom mode is there any way to change track without having to back out to menu and - thereby - lose all the lobby stats? Can't seem to find an option to put a few tracks on rotation, which I would've taken to be standard...?

S rank where its at I don't think it that hard what events are you struggling with .

For the races i would recommend some with good acceleration on normal on hard you should probably go for some that between top speed and acceleration and on s go for some who is a good top speed.

On pretty much every other event on hard or s rank you can use sonic with different stats okay for the ring event go fo sonic a good handling as you want to do tight turns as that where you will lose the most time in the turns.

On traffic attack go for as good handling and top speed as you can with sonic handling is important in this event as you want to quickly be able to turn between cars.

Time trial if you have his hidden mod you get when you completely level sonic up that seems to work fine for me .

The tank assault you can use any one you can take this event as slow as you like and just pick up loads of health items .

Been putting a fair few hours into this and I gave it an 8

Was going to change my mind and give it a 9 but starting to see some annoyances that brings it back to an 8 again

Sometimes on courses you will go for the drift and you turn but the car runs straight into a wall or goes off the edge

Now going for the A level cups and levels but just played then1st Grand Prix and metal sonic won every race because no matter what he picked up it was a gem that transformed him so it was impossible to keep up - still got the podium place in 2nd but I tend to get stormy when games cheat

Same with the burning rangers level, I struggle to keep up and had 3 boats in front of me that collided with an object and a wall but they continued going without slowing down

Just a shame little things like that's spoils it a little because this game and the previous all stars racing game are night and day in terms of quality

Could not agree more with buster's comments after playing more. I rated the game 8 and will stick by that, but with a few niggles sorted could easily have been a 9. This puts the lazyness of Mario Kart and Little Big Planet Karting to shame really

Why is there a carriage missing on the shinkansen that whips around Shibuya?! It's bugging my nerd-glands more than it should...

EDIT: I love this game, by the way. Really imaginative yet cleverly balanced and fair. Puts the Mario Karts to shame.

played more and opened up the reverse grand prix tracks and the 6th level of the world tour which is reverse tracks and they seem a little easier in reverse especially the burning rangers and billy hatcher level - but now have the option for S level on each track but might not even bother because a controller or two might get smashed

now got as far as i can unless i start all the a level tracks - cant move past the hornet unlockable (AGES) until i get 40 more stars

Still frustrating with invisible walls especially the afterburner level with the small gap on the carrier - just seems to be loads of invisible walls that just stop you and the fact i hit an opponent with 3 ice and froze them but they were still able to pull away from me and i couldnt keep up

also the tip of coming off the accelerator a little bit works a treat because going into for a drift too fast means your wheels lock up and you fire into a wall

absolutely hate the drift levels against the clock becase invisible walls just royally feck me off and the curian mansion drift level on A class was an absolute pain in the arse

hapy ive now got Gillus thunderhead and he is next to max up once ive done Joe Mushasi - love it when the crowd chant his name

so far max'd Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and pretty much Joe

still an 8 overall but the missed potential and poor bug testing has annoyed me a little

I can't understand how the online ranking works. One day I'm ranked as 201 then the next Day I'm 14578. How the hell did that happen within 6 hours. I've also had some very annoying bugs racing online. There I was 1st place in a 10 player game when I crossed then line but the race just kept going. So I kept racing only go end up with a DNF and placed last. WTF wasn't even close to what I felt.
