i had a quick play online this afternoon on COD and have to say it was a rather pleasant game. One thing i did like was just how smooth the experience was. Though its not easy learning the maps, think i will try with bots to try and learn

Loving mine so far. I've not played Arkham City before, so picked up the Armoured Edition and it is awesome, seems a great alternative Christmas game. I also picked Mario up as well, and that looks and plays great. Mario in HD, yes please! Couple that with Nintendoland (the Zelda game is brill!) and I'm set for a while

Pretty sure you're on my friends list so maybe some point this week we could play MP?

I've been pretty negative about the WiiU. Apologies. It's in my nature to rant about stuff. I've stopped now and hope to soon be joining in with positive comments about the system and its games. I'm off to investigate the launch line-up I shall return but not before I possess a WiiU and have something interesting to contribute.

Yeah sounds good, will also have to try and arrange for Wii U people with Sonic Racers to meet online too. I have found that to be brilliant fun online

I noticed when I was at fuses that the lobby was fully of 'artistic' people who had used the tablet to draw stuff and some were actually very good

                Anybody else here done that?

Im as bad as drawing on Wii U as i am with a real pen. But i have to say some of the artwork been created is brilliant quality and very skillful. That must be why i cant find many people to play online, they are all to busy drawing

5 days in and I'm still loving this console!

I know the main feature is the Gamepad but I also love the Pro Controller for some traditional gaming. I got Sonic Racing today and been using it with that. Nintendo have really put some effort into the pad like it's an important addition to your Wii U setup instead of it being a lazy extra like the Classic Controller Pro was. The Pro Controller feels good to use and I love how the analogs are in line with each other. I just need to get used to the different order of X,Y,A,B compared to the Xbox 360 controller.

In addition I also like how the games don't force you to use one type of controller like the Wii did (Skyward Sword anyone?), it's up to you.

The games look great. I know people bang on about how next PS4/Xbox 3 will be better looking but the Wii U is now HD and when next gen really kicks in I think the Wii U won't look as dated like Wii games do next to the current gen stuff. I think Sony and MS will need to bring something else to the table as well as better looking games with their next systems.

The console is really quiet. To say power wise it's around on par with the PS3 and Xbox 360 it's definitely the quietest console when you listen to all 3 machines with the discs spinning inside.

                      Positives:

The Gamepad really adds a new depth to your gaming experience.
                      Decent graphics.
                      Pro Controller.
Nice looking machine and very quiet.
                      Miiverse.
                      User friendly dashboard.
                      Web browers.

                      Negatives:

                      Gamepads battery life.
Multiformat games aren't making better use of the Gamepad yet.
Menus can be slow - games take a little while before they boot.

I kinda getting annoyed with the fact that everybody else is able to enjoy their WiiU so much , mine has barely been on since I have had it, just too much other stuff to do at the moment, none of which is fun.

                          Another firm ware update today

Wii U owners are being asked to download another Wii U firmware update, which Nintendo is currently rolling out to all …
