Everything on disc, you can also D/L on Wii U as far as I'm aware. The only real world problem is lack of space to save it to. TBH, I wouldn't mind an online-only D/L stance. The problem lies in that when a new console is released, you lose all of your games. If they slowed down on hardware, and made a "whatever you've bought, you'll own forever" console, I'd go for it.

I purchased sly collection on psn earlier for ?15.99, the cheapest i could find the disc based game was like ?25. Now if that kind of pricing become more popular in the future(and there is no reason it coudlnt), then surely people wont mind so much losing out to some degree because you make the saving day one. It would make up for the resale loss.
Of ourse this is from the viewpoint of the game trader, which probably accounts for a massive percentage.

Interesting how the topic seems to have turned to a discussion of a potential digital download only future. Yes, if the digital versions of titles are cheaper than their physical versions that will be nice. Unfortunately, I see more of the opposite happening currently with digital versions being sold at RRP and that becoming the norm if they gain some momentum sales-wise.
Hopefully in that respect the consumer enjoying the satisfaction of getting a bargain will win in this case and keep physical games releases in existence for a couple of decades yet.

It is worth bearing in mind that without digital distribution, many of this generation's games wouldn't have seen a release at all. The recent Sega arcade ports being one example. For games where a physical release is unrealistic, digital distribution offers a means of distributing these games.
I broadly agree that a physical-only future would be a negative thing, placing access to your own purchased content in the hands of the distributor opens the door for them to withdraw this content in the future (will Sony still be running the PS3 iteration of PSN in 10 years time), and also removes any possibility of price-based competition. But it's probably also a good idea to recognise the benefits that digital distribution can bring if utilised properly.

Take Doom on XBLA for example. I paid for that, then they go and take it off because of licensing. I get a new console and I can't download it again. It's back up now, luckily.
I know it's just one title I can think of but that's not the point.
Publishers/distributors have you by the balls when it comes to digital only. If you need a new machine at any point or want to clear HDD space you're screwed. And what happens with IP changes hands? Like all that Marvel guff? To be honest, the only good piece of licensed gaming is Goldeneye, and just look where that is.

Noticed that on my WiiU, playing gamez on the Gamepad looks great most of the time. The game that looks weakest oddly though is Nintendos own NSMB, the colours are very muted compared to the image on TV. Maybe its the simple colour scheme as Sonic Transformed looks decent whilst Black Ops 2 lools awesome

I do think that we are still a very long way away from full scale Digital Distribution. I think for aslong as hight street/online retailers continiue to sell games then there will be the physical boxed game for a long time. The fact that broadband speeds are still pretty slow outside major cities is still a big problem and i dont see that being sorted for a while.
One thing i would like to see, and it most likely wont happen for obvious reasons but i do wish that when you buy a boxed game you also get a code inside the box that lets you also download it aswell. For example on the Wii U with the Gamepad, when im playing downstairs and i want to play something else i have to go back upstairs to change the disk. It would be brilliant if i had access to my whole game library on the fly.
