Little Inferno iOS/PC/WiiU (maybe Android too?) review

This has been mentioned by people but there was never a first play thread for it from what i can see.

Made by the people who did world of goo, was released on PC and it was the first game in a long time that made me buy a pc game & a digital one too. However i was burned badly by it, just as i remembered pc gaming to be. BUGGY BUGGY BUGGY. I paid for a game that i couldn't even get to work without it randomly locking up my pc & forcing it to reboot so my money was wasted, however i knew the game was wonderful from the 10 or so mins i got to play it so i patiently waited & prayed for it to be released on iOS.

Now it's been finally released on iOS so i get to play it properly, the touch screen is wonderful for this kind of game it feels so much better not using a mouse. So what kind of game is it?

Basically you burn things, you have a interactive fireplace that you can buy things from a catalog & then put them in the fireplace to burn them. Each item reacts differently when burned & you can combine items when burning to get combos that are on a list. As you burn stuff you get more money from it to buy more things to burn, more catalogs are available with new things if you buy one of everything in a catalog. Each item takes a certain amount of seconds to ship to you so you can use shipping stamps you find to speed up the process.

Very unusual & not for everyone but like world of goo it just oozes quality, best ?2.99 i have spent this week

I loved this on wii u release and wholeheartedly recommend it, however having spent ?13 on the wii u I feel I've been burnt (ho ho) as I could've waited and spent ?2.99 on the iPad. For this price it's essential.

        Looks great.

Reminds me of a PSN game, the name of which fails me, maybe Trash Panic?

Irrespective, it's only been made by 3 guys, without any funding, so I'll gladly pay full price for it.

Thanks for the heads up Imp!

They didn't need funding, World of Goo has sold more than a million copies on IOS alone! It's come out on every format under the sun!

This is a hard game to recommend to people.... Because its perfectly understandable that it just won't click with some.

However having said that, if the charm, the disturbingly dark yet innocent tone and the simple yet addictive nature does click - then there is a totally unique, fresh and insightful story to be found here, amongst a cleverly presented satire of our hobby.

The simple concept of burning things is actually very fun and finding all the combos can take a fair bit of time. I also found simply experimenting with different objects to create my own quirky death sentences - and then sharing on miiverse - an addiction in its own right.

Very fun... In an odd way
