Arise from the gwave oh Thread.

A few hours today on this bad boy on the newly released PC version. I must say it looks real purdy (and I have a very ordinary PC rig).

Coming off the back of Dark Souls it has taken me a little time to get used to the controls and I keep trying to roll away from the monsters!

But the few big monsters I've fought thus far have been very cool. Climbing on top of the

Hydra and cutting off it's head

was awesome. My pawns have been very helpful and not retarded (so far) which is a nice surprise. I'm really only just dipping my toes in this game but so far I'm really, really loving it.

Had my first WTF moment - beating down some bandits when all of a sudden - CHIMERA!!! He cruises in and starts to wreak havoc! Lucky my two mages got my back whilst I cut off his tail & lay down some Assassin skills on his arse.

      Strength in numbers Arisen.

      This game is absolutely BRILLIANT

remember to keep changing your jobs/vocation now and then, you'll keep your main level (along with HP, att/magic att) and can share traits across all jobs in the setup menu back in the inn's. It's worth giving a Sorcerer a go, i loved sending my pawns in to combat to buy me time to cast High Malestorm... only game to get magic right, and Magic Archer's Ricochet attack in enclosed areas.

Beat my first drake today - man that was EPIC. They have nailed the monsters so far - the balance is almost perfect.

Was it the one near the goblin fort? That was the first one i came across, at night while fighting off Skeletons, Liches and Goblins just past the lake... suddenly a stream of fire from the sky torches everything, kills 2 pawns right away leading to 20 minutes dodging, raising, shooting magic arrows until dawn where i can now see the damn and take the fight to the ground... so tense, specially around getting charged at, stunned, charmed or grabbed while it chants a death spell with my pawns furiously whacking away at its arm to release the grip.

Yeah that was him - I saw him a mile away but he flew over and smashed us to pieces - over and over ; took me a while to beat him & a hell of a lot of healing items! Yeah when he started grabbing peeps and talking in dragon was extremely cool.
