There is VERY short demo on the Japanese PSN Store available for download.
The whole demo speech and text is in Japanese so I have no clue what the story is about!
The game is set on stage and when you complete certain actions and the end of the scene the audience claps and cheers.
Anyway, after an intro movie which sets the scene for the game, you get to control your character who armed with giant scissors. You can jump (x) and cut/climb with the scissors (square) as you progress round a circular tower. You progress round and up the tower cutting spiders webs and other items, avoid baddies and slide (hold down square) along ropes and it controls really well. It looks very good and will check it out when it comes out as an english demo.
The gameplay reminds me a bit of Pandemonium on PS1 (remember that!) but you are on stage which probably explains the circular tower you to climb.
Check it out if you know Japanese as you will get more out it than me. And, no there is no English setting int the options.
