Ok, as you may have gathered by now, this is not a great game.
It is however a pretty funny one, provided you like Deadpool as a character. Make no mistake this is one that has been put together purely with fans in mind. There's lots of cut scene and in game dialogue that Deadpool fans will enjoy, which is important really, because when you're playing the game, there's not much else that's fun.
It's pretty much a standard mindless button mashing affair, it all feels very B grade and lacks polish. You unlock loads of combos and upgrades on a regular basis, but I really didn't feel like i needed to learn how to play the game at any point. I have gone through a large portion of it simply smashing the x and Y buttons to attack in a random but relatively effective fashion. The game will generally lock onto targets that are not even that close to you and jump at them to attack, so theres really very little thought required during the combat. In fact the combat is mostly just dull, and it ends up being down to the player to make it more fun by using Deadpool's guns (headshots make everything better) and other moves (He has several crazy special attacks that can be used after you fill up a meter) just to keep things fresh, even though it rarely feels like they are a requirement.
The graphics are shiny enough and capture the look they are going for but don't really impress beyond that. The audio is generally good though, with fantastic voice acting, and Deadpool's nutty character constantly shines through thanks to some very funny dialogue (try roaming his apartment at the start of the game and you will see what I mean).
Overall Id say its a pretty rubbish game, but I would still recommend it to anyone that likes the character, just because the developers have captured what he's about so well.
