Is there a bug or something with the camera? When I try to use the pictomatic on the phone (that's the camera right?) it tries to connect to the social club or something and an error occurs saying servers are down or something. I couldn't do the paparazzi mission because of this. I'm not a member of the social club, but I don't think that should matter?

The servers are still ****ed. That is why it doesn't work

From what I can tell I've got about 17-18 main missions remaining now and I'm about 28hrs in. Some of the recent missions have really mixed up the vehicles and objectives which is nice to see so late in. Los Santos is great fun but I adore driving through the desert towns and mountain roads, I wish more missions were out there.

This game is so great. There is soooo much to do that it feels more like an open world crime RPG - like a sort of Elder Scrolls game with cars and guns and planes.

I've been taking it slow and doing lots of side missions, ATV races, gun running, and stock trading. The stock trading part is so addictive! I made $43,000 with Michael yesterday, also finished Flight School with him (at Trevor's behest) which was pretty fun.

I don't know how many hours I've put into the game so far - does anyone know where you can see a gametime clock? Or do you just have to add it up per character?

I'd estimate roughly 25 or so hours though. And I'm not even halfway through the missions

I think you just have to add the characters together, haven't seen a total game time anywhere, which is a bit weird.

I blew my chances with the stock market royally! Did the Redwood Cigarettes mission with Franklin, and bought the competitors (Debonnaire Cigarettes) stocks for like $200,000 or something thanks to the tip from Lester. Could have made $80,000 profit but instead I got greedy and decided to wait more. Well, turns out it plummeted quickly! Now I'm sitting on a pile of stocks worth less than the price I bought 'em! Oh, well. Back to robbing gas stations for poor Franklin.

23 hours in with a little less than half of the story missions done. So. Much. To. Do,

Encountered Lester for the first time yesterday. What a total c**** - lol!

Much like how I'd go about it in real life I've taken the cowards route with stocks and only bought based on Lesters missions, selling as soon as the value goes up. Franklin now has $1.7m which is more than Trevor and Michael combined which makes his cutscenes make him look like a right whiner

I've been playing the market it's really fun. I think I spend a lot of my gametime just on those stocks pages haha.

Having put 30 hours into GTA V now, I think I?ve got a good understanding of how it hangs together. There are many things I like, but a couple I don?t.

The switching between characters works very well; it is fun switching and finding the switchee doing something interesting. I also like the way the stories of the three main characters arc across each other. Some of the missions can still be vague at times as to what you?re meant to do, but I like that you are able to skip after three fails if you want to and the better mission checkpoints mean I?ve not needed to do this.

The improved driving and combat, while not perfect, means I can now drive pretty fast and not have to worry about smashing the cars / bikes and wrecking them. The jumbo jets seem to explode quite readily when you try to steal them mind.

The size of the game world is impressive, but that also brings with it a negative ? because it is so big it is quite sparsely populated in many places. The AI is also pretty dumb and there are some very odd spawning issues in the game. I was able to spend a good twenty minutes on a roof top sniping random people without the police finding me and the dozen dead bodies piled up on the floor with NPCs not batting an eyelid. The first responders also seem to disappear at random, if you look the wrong way. The deer also seem to respawn almost instantly after you?ve slain them.

Also standing in the street next to AI seems to trigger some NPCs to attack you without any kind of provocation, which leads to the police chasing you down ? it does seem easier to lose your wanted stars this time around though.

I've had the game lock-up twice using the camera phone, requiring a hard reset, so the online integration seems a bit iffy at the mo.

Overall, despite some minor glitches, it?s an impressive world but if you weren?t a fan before I don?t think it?ll change your mind. Definitely the strongest of the GTAs I?ve played to date.

Ive only put in a couple of hours into this and so far so good except I'm stuck. Met up with Lester and done the jewelry mission (take photos etc) and now between both Michael and Franklin I don't appear to have any other missions to do. I've been driving around for ages and nothing? Is there someway I can trigger a mission to pop up on the map? Anyone else had these problems?

I still have yet to do many of the missions, im just having so much fun creating my own missions. My favourite is being a long distance HGV driver, i pick up/steal a huge lorry then drive my way round the map abiding by the traffic conditions whilst listening to the excellent music and looking at the stunning variety of scenery, brilliant, brilliant game

                              God this game is awesome.
Anyone watched some of the TV shows? Been to the cinema?
The original content they created here is awesome- Kung Fu Rainbow Lazer Force!
                              Hahaha, hilarious.

My only gripe, which R* will never change, is the unrealistic dispatch time and infinite number of police/armed forces. Ideally cops would sometimes take a few minutes to get to you, and with the invincible cheat on you would eventually be able to wipe em all out. Oh well, they'll never change it and that's fine.

I'm about 25% through story mode and the main missions are really exciting and fun.
I also love just driving around in the sticks/mountains and admiring the views.
Found this logging factory up in the hills yesterday, so I got out of my car I'd been driving along the train tracks and had a look around.

                              Such awesome grpahics.
And it's not even online yet...
I can see myself playing this game for at least 6 months, this is another Skyrim.

Go to the letters marked on the map to progress the story, set a course if need be.
