Loving this. The atmosphere is great, the sound of the zombies is amazing. I love the way they surround you and follow you when you call them over with Kinect, a nice touch. The sheer amount of them is very impressive and one of the best features of the game. I wouldn't say the graphics are "next gen", but I doubt the 360 could handle the amount of things on screen with such smoothness.

All in all, a superb and solid launch title.

Started this up again and made a quick path through to what I think is the last batch of objectives I need to complete to reach Chapter 4. There's certainly scope to muck about but it feels like a much more straight forward game this time out. Can see how fans would be annoyed but this is the best time I'd had with a DR

It's better than the other games simply becuase there's no restrictive time limit. Dead rising was previously a sandbox game where you wernt really allowed to play in the sandbox very often. However, exploring, crafting, killing, it's all a lot more fun here now because you feel like you have time to actually enjoy it all.....

.....plus the voice acting is hilairious.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record had both a story and a sandbox mode.
The latter has no time limit.

I've just spent about 2 months playing it in co-op with k0pp0 and we loved it.
We did all the sandbox challenges first and then did the story.
It's the best of both worlds.

Done with this now, it's an enjoyable little game. I'd be lying if I didn't wish it was a little more oddball but to go through it's fine enough. Doesn't bring too much but refinement to the series and the tail end gets a bit old. A 7-er

This in coop has been the most fun since the early days of xbox live, fantastic game that does nothing but make you smile, something we do very little of late in gaming

I give it a good solid 8 .. After completing the game on normal mode and leveling up to 50 its an enjoyable enough experience. ... It will depend on how much you 'get' Dead Rising though, if you were not sold on it before this won't change your mind.

There is no way this could have been done on previous gen consoles though ... Video proof below:

Just got to the end of the story after hammering it solidly this week, what a great game!

I didn't think I was going to play it very much after not touching it since launch, but I have been hooked

Long shot, but has anyone had problems with being able to play the DLC?

I have the Season Pass and downloaded the first DLC when that came out. Played though it fine. Then I downloaded the second DLC on Monday and went to play it today - I can't access it in the game menu, only the first DLC. If I go into the store, it says the DLC is installed, so there is no option to download it again.

Really annoyed with the glitches on this game - I'm one achievement short of finishing the first DLC due to a well known glitch, and can't get the last achievement on the main game as that's glitched as well. Looks like I've found another glitch! Not bad for a ?50 game plus a ?25 add-on.....

You can delete the DLC from the xbox dash

Thanks Boris - didn't know you could do that....and glad to report it worked. Cheers.

Good, probably doesn't help the glitched cheevs though. I can't collect some blueprints as the game thinks I already have them

Nope, doesn't help with those - allegedly, Capcom looking into the glitches....but will believe it when I see it. A shame, as this is a cracking game, one I really wanted to get the full 1000g on.
