Been playing this for the past hour or so, it really is a great little game!

It's a platform puzzle game where you use your magic pen to draw things in the environment to help you progress. The magic pen is used a bit like okami or trine where you hold the RT and then you use the analogue to draw (no kinect drawing!) you can't draw things where ever you want they are fixed but it doesn't feel restrictive.

Some of the puzzles have been quite devious so far and it's satisfying to figure out.

Other sections of the platforming are similar to the Rayman chest levels where you're constantly moving as things as they move, break, close around you.

As mentioned, it's definitely worth checking out!

Definitely worth getting IMO, I'm part way through chapter 2 now and I'm really enjoying it!

I played the first chapter of this and my impressions weren't great,

Too many instadeath moments , which wouldn't have been out of place in Limbo but come off as just plain frustrating.
I've also found myself coming up to the first puzzles in the game and being totally clueless as to what to do, there are only very limited interactions that you have very limited it shouldn't be hard. The game makes it incredibly unclear and provides no training of any form to mold you into playing the game they way you have to.

Combined with the slightly ropey jumping physics makes the game feel unrefined so far.

Anyone having trouble getting the pen to do what you want? I only ask as I'm quite tempted, but the few reviews I can find say it can be anywhere from unresponsive, to nearly impossible to actually get what you want when using it at times.

I've got the first 3 upgrades and I've never had any problems drawing anything...not sure how many upgrades there are though.

I don't get the instadeath hate tbh, if you mistimed a jump in mario you could die too. I really don't mind platform designs that revolve around instant death as when you get it right it feels very satisfying.

I also personally thought they did a good job at giving you subtle hints in progressing your understanding. Firstly they require you to get out of they area where you get the upgrade which to me is a safe way of showing you how you should be thinking when using it. I guess if you can't even get out of there then you'll struggle.

It is a puzzle game though, it's not meant to tell you everything on how to progress and I've spent a good 10 mins sitting trying to figure out how to get past certain sections. Again when figuring them out it all feels very satisfying. It's like 'what, it never wants me to do this does it!?' and then wham, your theory works!

I have been playing this bit by bit and it's great in small doses. Stick with it for prolonged periods and it could get tedious.
Perfect for a few levels on and off.

Recorded a 5 min clip on xbox showing the end of a puzzle, a cut scene and some nice lighting in a different world.
