Where are your numbers? "Competitively" or not, bet a lot more people are currently playing MK7 than "competitive" SMK. Let's not even think about comparing the Miiverse activity between both games.

Are you one of the 60 or so (lol) people still relishing in the pure balance of SMK competitively, by any chance? If not then why do you care about what other people are doing? It takes a LOT more time and effort memorising the racing lines on MK8 than in SMK.

Anyway, I'm open to showing you the complete uselessness of power-ups vs. an impeccable racing line at any time.

i have enjoyed this game for the most part but only becuase i play it for what it is, a party game...i would prefer Nintendo to go back to the SMK style where skilled racers are rewarded but this is just not the case in this game. i feel that its more a game or chance/luck as to where you finish especially onlne with more than 8 players.

the item balance is way off really...there's too many items, boxes come to often and re-spawn far too quickly; and i can't count the amount of time ive gone from 1st to last place after being hit by an array of shells and what not. also, many of the items are pretty cr.ap, the star power up adds hardly any speed advantage, speed mushrooms come too often and are slower than the speed boost off other players.

the game needs to get rid of the bikes too and stick to karts only

It wasn't "pulled out of thin air", I went to the official SMK Championship website and added up the amount of active competition players (being generous I counted from 2013 onwards, and even rounded up to the nearest ten to give you benefit of the doubt). The tally stands at just over fifty.

Man, if you think that luck has any part in this game then come online and prove it, the results screens should be random every time if it were true. You can't just keep spouting words without backing it up with actions. Guts is right, that statement is coming from someone who has very little track knowledge.

This is a pretty disingenuous twisting of my argument on many levels and I think you know it is, but whatever. I'm honestly not sure that I can be bothered to break it all down at this point for you.

At the end of the day, you and many others have your opinion and I and many others have our opinion. We'll have to agree to disagree.

I have been nothing but civil for ages, realising that you have plenty to offer and plenty of knowledge. I even PMed you in attempt to build a bridge for what was nothing more than childish behavior on both sides.
You ignored it and even blocked me on Twitter despite me not following you.
