So after reading impressions, I plan on definitely picking it up. What kind of genre does it fall into? It sounds like a stealth/fps with the only weapon available is a sniper rifle? Is it story based? Thanks. I'm totally new to the series!

I'm totally new to the series!.It is story driven loosely and you have various versions of sniper rifles, machine guns, pistols and rocket launcher to aid your mission
You also unlock weapons upgrade as you play by searching bodies. You also have land mines, dynamite, grenades and trip mines as back up tools to plan ambushes and take on armoured vehicles.
I'm on level 8,final level and it's a cracker

Stealth 3rd person. Think Splinter Cell in a WW2 Africa setting which reminds me of Indiana Jones Raiders type terrain.
You have you sniper rifle but you also carry a silenced pistol, SMG and various mines or trip wires to set traps. You can essentially play a level without ever getting detected but it's tricky. You can cover your sniper fire by using audible environment noises as cover, a truck back-firing etc...
The maps are wide open with several routes to and from objectives so it's up to you which order to tackle them and you use binoculars to spot enemies and that let's you see them at all times kind of X-ray vision. The limitation there being you can only spot 7 Max at any time and it only takes one you haven't spotted to ruin plans.
If that's your cup of tea it's great fun. It's not entirely polished but it's no slouch either. The AI can be a bit thick, the graphics a bit basic and the story is pretty formulaic... But it's better than the sum of its parts and something completely different which is what made it attractive to me.

Picked this up today for a nice price thanks to BestBuy pricematching Walmart. Naturally, the 3D went straight on and I could feel the difference between this on the PS4 and v2 on the WiiU.
so, question for you all, do you always use the "empty lung" option? It does make it easier but also a little cheaper. I am playing it on "Sniper Elite" difficulty so am not too worried about using it plenty, plus you get an XP bonus for using it, and I would have rewarded the play for NOT but that's just me.
