Went all through vanilla, croata. & how and never even sniffed a hawkmoon. Stuck ttk on for 2 hours the on Friday and got a hawkmoon from a blue engram. Figure that one out.

I'd say that's an improvement on the rng at least.

I got the Telesto last night. The thing is amazing, and I hate Fusion Rifles. 18 Motes and it was instantly maxed out too. I want an Exotic Scout Rifle, but I only ever get Secondary Engrams for some reason.

What's the list of primary's that got a year 2 upgrade? I had a quick look at the vault thingy but it didn't seem huge selection that went into year 2. Souros regime in black looks pretty neat.

Love the fact that the 3 weapons most vehemently moaned about in pvp, last word, thorn & hawkmoon have got into year 2, let the whining begin!

All of the Primary's except MIDA, No Land Beyond and Vex Mythoclast. MIDA was my favourite weapon too, so I am woe.

any must have weapons so far? i just came across very mediocre stuff except maybe the new exo sniper that can blind enemies.

also there seem to be no legendary primary weapons that deal elemental damage, even the Raid loot doesn't offer these. Bungie clearly knew what they were doing when deciding to leave Year 1 weapons behind because next to no one would play with inferior Year 2 weapons.

The Touch of Malice is incredible. The perks let you shoot continuously with reloading as long as you are getting kills. You can literally destroy groups of Tier 1's with it.

The raid weapons don't have a burn? Ugggggggghhhhhh.

By the way, the new SUROS REGIME is incredible. It has an added perk if Focused Fire bores you to tears. In fact, its exactly like the Thunderlord perk that fires faster if you hold the trigger. And the stability doesn't seem to go down at all. You can also choose focused still. Great weapon.

I think its Smart Loot. I got 2 Hawkmoons last weekend. One from the Tower quest, which was Y1 and the ONLY exotic I missed so it had to be smart loot. And another was a Year 2 which is still kicking ass.

Do the Taken War Petra quest. Its not that hard, even solo (usually there are 2 or 3 guys around to join the fun). I only have to do the last Taken Champion on Mars.

To buy it as dlc you do...but the disk version includes everything, original game plus all the dlc packs.

Point of detail: the disk only has vanilla game and the three expansions are on download codes in the box. I mention this only because some people have been miffed about having to download tons of stuff and not having it all on disk.

Don't get this game if you are easily addicted to loot type games, working out the time I've spent on it I've put an entire months worth of hours into it over the last year, an average of 2.1 hours a day, I've got into the habit of sleeping less to get a few more hours in some evenings. I really need to stop playing this game so much.

I forced myself to go out last night so I didn't play it. The other two nerds in my fireteam were Whatsapping me in disgust. No doubt they are at least two light levels ahead of me now.
