Can't get on with the circle pad in this. The game itself is wonderful, packed with content and bloody gorgeous. The damn pad is so unresponsive though, it's giving me the wrong move on a regular basis.

Anybody else getting killer lag online? Loving the game so far but the online aspect is horribly unreliable for me, it's either a laggy match or doesn't connect at all with an error message.

Apparently the Smash Run mini-game has been poo-poo'd by the the majority of gamers...I'm really enjoying it though! Great to see the enemies from other games getting a look in.

There's already talk of Little Mac being too powerful and, in the opinion of some, needing to be nerfed.

Ever since the release of Smash Bros., I've consistently seen players complain about the same thing: the character Little Mac, especially when it comes to the competitive 1-on-1 For Glory mode. Apparently, some people claim, the mode is swarming with Little Mac players.

Personally, I disagree. Yes, Mac's a beast on the ground/up-close but that's balanced out by his aerial and recovery abilities being awful. His special move recovery is also questionable as a few of them leave him either vunerable to attack or even a self-destruct by falling off the ledge if they're whiffed. Any top-class air and/or ledge game would surely trouble him.

8 tweets make a Kotaku article eh?

That article does appear to pull from other sources besides Twitter, and it's not just Kotaku reporting it.

That article references the Kotaku one. lol

But fair enough, I understand the communicated message. Maybe we'll see an actually banned character as Meta Knight was in Brawl. I don't recall anyone being banned in Melee though.

Makes me wonder if Sakurai is going to listen to any suggestions when it comes to rebalancing. Like, will that happen at all? Remains to be seen I guess.

Which in turn, as I've already stated and is quite obvious, is pulling from other sources around the web. But your Kotaku snobbery is noted.

I especially liked the snippet about Ken players in SF4 at the end. The kind of people that complain about stuff like this are the kind of people that won't be playing it in 3 months.

                      This I agree with.

I mainly play that, Street Brawl and Trophy Rush

How are the controls on a 3DS XL? Will I be needing a circle pad to get the most out of this? I'm new to smash brothers and thought its about time I gave it a try.

Do you mean the circle pad pro? If so I don't think it's supported for this title.

To be honest I thought this was going to be an issue from the moment they introduced little mac as a ground based specialist with strong attacks and stun invulnerability alongside the announcement that the ranked for glory mode had no items and was the final destination stage. Essentially he is specialised for the for glory setup. As many articles are pointing out most people who are overusing him are easily countered by blocking his side b punches and throwing him off the stage as he has poor recovery options, but you can see why given the stage set up people are picking him as a default.

Yes I did! Thanks, just realised it has a demo! Will be trying that out!

Played a bit this weekend finally, firstly I'm rubbish but once I got used to that fact and switched gears into tunring it into a collection game i'm faring better. Just going through classic moide with each character will take me a while )to get their trophies) and it gives me a good taste into each fighters style.

Can any Veterans tell me the difference between Link and Toon Link?
