I might be about later if you want a game online speedy. I'm not back from school until 5pm, which is about midnight your time if you're on.

The horse dudes with the shields are a pain in the arse. Stopping my combos. I can break through their shield with a PKP combo but they put it back up before I can do anything about it. Any tips appreciated here.

Turn into a panther and run behind them? Use the whip to keep a distance? Jump over them and hit them from behind/midair? I found the basic kick combo from the fire weapon (can't remember name) has a move at the end of the basic kick combo that has a tentacle that spawns behind them and knocks then to the ground?

        Be inventive

Witch Time. If you try fight them normally you'll get a crap score on a verse.

If you keep hitting them with their shields up, they will eventually stagger and drop them- very shortly after they will flash and attack- if you dodge then, you can keep your combo while attacking and getting witch time

Either hold down Y to use the regular handgun to continue the combo or learn how to use Dodge Offset.

Dodge Offset is an advanced and important Technique in the games, Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 that can be used to dramatically improve Bayonetta's performance in combat. Unlike other Techniques that can be bought at the Gates of Hell, there is no in-game tutorial on how to use Dodge Offset and any information on what it does and how to use it needs to be looked up in the instruction manual or in-game menus. Dodge Offset can be used from the beginning of the game, is automatically unlocked, and can

Edit: I guess he'd probably be blocking the handgun actually. Save your Magic for a Torture attack maybe? That's always a good way of getting a great score.

Bullets hitting their shield breaks the combo. specifically I'm trying one of those side missions: defeat all enemies with our easy combo. I save a umbran attack for him when he arrives the end but it doesn't kill him. Fail!

Don't do the Umbran climax (LB) on him, instead do a torture attack and mash B to kick him into the trap- a full gauge should kill him in one hit.

Ya. Even if you don't kill him with it, he'll be wide open afterwards.

Don't waste magic at the beginning of a fight usually. The game would never expect you to do that and more often than not you wouldn't have a stock ready for a TA in the first place, so that requirement would make for a terrible design choice. Finish encounters with them if you want to take their weapons.

Don't worry about getting the best combo scores until you have all the weapons. Once you find the hammer all should become clear.

Was wondering when you'd pop your head in.

Haven't played since Monday but have been rationalising stuff in my head the last few days. Despite loving Bayonetta I never really played it for score, but I'm having a blast in 2 doing it. After this I'll have 1 to play too. Amazing value for money.

(And then I'll rebuy TW101 and do that too. Lol)

I think anyone who wants to get better at Bayonetta should begin watching Saur's recent video series about Bayonetta, the focus appears to be on the first game right now though. Two episodes so far.

Excellent vids. Can't believe they didn't use him for the guide for the second guide. Do we know why that is?

Afraid not, at least I don't. Really disappointing though, the guide for 2 is horrible apparently. Need to grab the first guide, won't be cheap...
