Does this have 2 player co-op? I'm hoping it keeps my kids entertained while they are off school.

      Yes indeed it does.

Would like to get a Wii U title to reinvigorate the machine a bit. I wonder if this one is any good to do so... Or do I need to wait for Mighty No. 9?

          Not tried Splatoon?

Sucks waiting until October for this.

Just not big into shooting or online games. I just don't find myself getting into it... Definitely not shutting it out completely, it could be a pleasant surprise. I assume there's a heavy puzzle element to it. There's a demo, correct?

No, I was referring to Yoshi. No US release until October. I have no interest in Splatoon.

To be fair, I think Touch-n-Go is only a "Yoshi" title insofar as Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga is a "Mario" title.

I really like it (I bought a DS for it and played it for weeks) but it's really more of a puzzle/action spinoff.

Ah, ok. Yeah, the later US release is surprising, and also considering that the Japanese release is a month later than Europe, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised?

Splatoon should be picked up by everyone. it drops practically all of the nasty stigmas associated with all other online shooters and as a result makes it much more of a joy to play.

Yeah, Splatoon is a breath of fresh air. Probably my favourite online shooter that isn't made by Valve.

That's a flawed comparison, in all fairness.

Superstar Saga is excellent (as are all the other games in the Mario & Luigi RPG series) and definitely worthy of being a "Mario" title.

                              Touch-N-Go? Much less so.

I've done a few levels of this. It's okay, but it isn't a game of which I would play a marathon session. Once I have done two levels, I have generally had enough, and want to play something else.
