The hardest setting on Hyper Street Fighter Anniversary is no where near as hard as the Dreamcast version of SSF2X...

This in my opinion is slightly disappointing.
I find this very annoying and most apparent on Capacom Vs Snk Level 8 is far to easy the same can be said for Super SF on GBA. Lets hope SNK Vs Cap Chaos is rock hard.
i find difficult level 8 on capcom vs snk 2 just right.

ssf2x on DC on level 8 is just wrong kinna like when you try to jump fei long will just jump straight up and kick you every time ft:

      Just bought this from marcus

One question though how many characters are there in the game? is it just the original Super Street Fighter 2 cast?

To my knowledge just Super Street Fighter characters, although someone said Gouki move list is in the book but if u can't save i don't know how u get him. If as i suspect he aint in it that is rather dissapointing

Accessing Gouki requires the same code as it did in arcade Super Street Fighter 2 X. The code to select him is even in the manual beneath his movelist (although in Japanese).

In case anyone doesn't remember it:

            Highlight Ryu for 3 seconds
            Highlight T-Hawk for 3 seconds
            Highlight Guile for 3 seconds
            Highlight Cammy for 3 seconds
            Highlight Ryu for 3 seconds
Press all 3 Punch + Start buttons together.

Think that's right. My memory is fuzzy regarding the order at which they have to be highlighted but they are the definately the characters that need highlighting.

              What a bummer.
Although this Hyper SF Aniiversary game is good it's clear now that it's ever so slightly disappointing after the DC version of SSF2X.

Reasons against this Hyper SF Anniversary version...
              1. Difficulty setting set way too low on the hardest setting when compared to the DC version.
              2. You can only play against CPU controlled SSF2X characters and not the other versions of the Street Fighter characters...
I thought the whole point of this game was you could fight against the other CPU Street Fighter characters...
This game might as well be called Super Street Fighter II X Plus.
              3. No short cut way to accessing Gouki. Also the DC version had three versions of Gouki and this was accessed thru massive prolonged play by completing the game without losing a round with all the characters and the Super version of each character on the DC version.
              4. Gamest Street Fighter DVD is awesome. I saw combos I never knew existed on that DVD...
              5. No access to the dip switch settings like the DC version.
              6. No save option.
              7. I can't think of owt else yet.

Reasons against the DC version of SSF2X.
              1. The only thing that I can think of is... No RGB! Massive doh!
Also not sure if the re-released versions of the DC SSF2X from Sega Direct have RGB but it'll be very interesting if they have as I would snap up a copy now!

                  Poo.
I just realised the 4th one was a plus point and not a negative point for Hyper Street Fighter Anniversary...

Anyone care to explain to me how to do the Guile 'handcuff' glitch?
                    What does it do?
Is it only the World Warrior version of Guile that can do it?

Are there any other glitches that you could do?

Just general mucking about with the game settings.

                        - Change introduction types. Either SSF2X or SSF2.
                        - You can change certain hit sound effects for some players.
                        - Enable or disable Shin/ Ten Gouki
                        - Slowdown when stunned, hit by a projectile (on/off)
                        - Change character name colours (blue/ yellow)
                        - Darkened screen during a super move
                        - win quotes in JPN or ENG. By doing this the boss names are changed, Vega = Bison, Akuma has 1 win quote only and so on, thus regionalising the game to USA.
                        - Character portraits on the end of the life meter, on/ off

and some other stuff. There are some other switch settings that have no real effect on the game, and are 'unconfirmed'

Does anyone have a complete list of what the dip switches do in the DC version of SSF2X?

It'd be interesting to see what does what exactly...

The gameboy Advance version of Street Fighter II revival is really nice. Some new backgrounds and artwork make it better than this new version.
