Fair play. I could never get on with Sekiro … it made too many demands

Love this. Switching to a dual shock 4 over a 360 pad made me twice as good… then, in 48 hours I completely forgot how to play it. Minions prior to the shinobi hunter are destroying me. I seem to be unable to parry at all. Best go to the training guy I guess

So have finally picked this up again to clear the remaining trophies. Damn it is so hard when you've had a break. I have a save right before the final boss on NG+ but I figured I needed to re-learn the game so have started a new game. Am up to the double Ape fight so cannot remember how far in I am maybe half way? Anyway it has firmed more in my mind that this is truly a magnificent game. Some easy bosses have been frustrating, but I beat Genichiro really easily, go figure. Not sure I will try and tame Owl in this playthrough. We shall see!

Anyway the thing I learned going back in is not to play any other game - keep muscle memory tight

          And so it is done.

Finally got the platinum 3 years later. What an epic journey and epic game.

Emma and Isshin did get me worked up a bit. The second stage where he basically turns into a fire breathing dragon was super hard until I realised, hesitation is defeat. Truly no truer words have been spoken in relation to this game. It is I suppose a natural progression of the (great) regain mechanic from Bloodbourne that promotes and rewards attack. They tempered this with the parry mechanic that for me is not overly generous but not too hard either. I think they got this spot on.

I really really hope From revisit Sekiro at some point (or something similar).

I've just bought Armoured Core 6 - but will need to play something different as I've been on a Elden Ring/Sekiro binge-a-thon now since Shadow of the Erdtree came out in June.

Anyway, Sekiro is up there on my list of best games ever played

Sounds great, FG! Thanks for sharing.
I'll have to check this out eventually.
