I just finished my replay of this around ten minutes ago. If anything, I think I enjoyed it more this time than I did on release. It's just an incredible looking game, even with the advent of a new generation it must be up there among the most impressive games available.

I can see people's issue with switching to Abbie, but I like that they took the risk on the story the way they did, and give you more to think about regarding other characters motivations. At the end of the day they're ALL cold hearted murdering psychopaths, it's just that you feel more bonded to Joel & Ellie due to the first game.

Took me a little longer to complete it this time around at just over 21 hours, but I can honestly say I loved it apart from a couple of annoying sequences where I was killed but it seemed to keep putting me back in to a situation where I found it very difficult to get out of without insta-dying again.

      Totally agree

during the story Abbie grows more than she is which is just hateful vengeance towards Joel, She cares and protect two people she has been told to hate and Ellie is very linear as she is just hate hate hate

and she loses everything because of it just to pease Tommy, even during the last battle I wanted Abbie to kick my arse

I honestly wouldn't be 100% surprised if The Last of Us Part III ended up with Ellie being the antagonist

Yeah, I think they'll keep ramping up her crazy until she's got no fingers left at all.

Anyhoo, all this TLOU2 love got me firing up a NG+ on Hard+ setting, and - yep - even though it's early days it feels even greater 2nd time around. Paying more attention to character nuance and environment and getting lots of 'new' details from this, and the combat is much better when you're tooled up against tougher and more intelligent enemies and can't just messily brickbat you're way through.

Aye you definitely get to see and notice more the more it’s played through

first time through as Ellie I fell through a duct and stabbed a dog, 2nd play through you then really understand that, it’s Alice that attacks you and from playing as Abbie you find out she is the most loveliest dog around, definitely the most brutal of the dog deaths

Stalkers still freak me out though

Not for me. When it comes to those bastards I'm a nail-bomb trap specialist.
