I feel the same way. There's something about the game that ticks a lot of boxes for me. The world design is mind blowing. The weight, the clunk, the examination of enemy patterns. Games used to be like this. It's how they got their 'one-more-go' more-ish success from.
I've not ventured into NG+. I think I dabbled when I finished the asian version. What makes the enemies harder? Just generally more HP and faster?
Same for me. 4-1 is an area I return to just to riposte some skellys.
