Amazing! I should do a video about doing a run if you're scared to try stuff out!

I was chatting with my friend and once you get past that fear of death, you're definitely willing to try different weapons and combos out.

It's almost a shame that I'm focussing on one badass weapon as I know it's what gets the job done as using a whip or them twinblade spears look really cool.

Amazing how many ways to play this game they've crammed in!
Even if you're focussing on weapons, there are loads of different tree branches to follow, bleed, intelligence etc.

Currently watching a video where the guy is trying to complete only using summons and never attacking!

Some vidyas with the PS Camera picking up the audio!

A swift demise for the Onyx Lord, deafened to death with the rattling of button mashing!

Taking on the Royal Knight Loretta.
I was very excited when my good boy came to help.

An excellent resolution to the dramatic battle against the hella tough boss, Starscourge Radahn:

Swift justice. Love that feeling when a From boss goes down. Get in indeed!

              Something slightly different.
Having beaten Radahn, I rode around the beach trying to find something, anything, but it's pretty barren.

Then I found a cave with a load of ghost soldiers eternally battling.
If I kept to myself, I could reap the runes, but they eventually find you.

So I went to a cave to get the golden scarab for increased runes.

Then I went to the first castle to get the Mimic's Veil, which let's you disguise as furniture if you aren't spotted.

Then I went back to the War-Dead Catacombs and showed my plan to the kids...

              Here's our running commentary.

I'd been progressing nicely through Nokron, following that storyline, but hit a dead-end with the dual Goblin boss.
I just can't take them out.
I tried hiding on the rocks, which works for one but not both.
I tried standing by the waterfall, bit couldn't lure them down.

So decided to try something different.
It's been a while since I tackled the Godskin Noble...

I had 8 sleep pots and spaffed them all away attempting to beat him.
I used all my blood grease and even made some more.
                  He kept trouncing me still.

And yet, I was managing to do some damage.

I can't say what attempt this was (6? 8? 10?), but I was pleased with the results...

After that, I finally progressed through Volcano Manor and got Smithing Stone 7, so it was onwards to Smithing Master Hewg to upgrade!

Here are some snaps from my Adventuring, when I've managed to grab some time to play this Christmas.

Love how vastly different the areas can be.

I couldn't face the double gargoyle battle again in Nokron, so was a bit aimless for a while.
Turns out, I don't need to beat them to continue, I found the kit needed before I faced them.
So, I've carried on with that, but a bit annoyed with myself that I had to look at a guide.

Spent a good chunk of time exploring an underground section full of acid-spraying ants (EDF! EDF!) and some boss I beat pretty easily.

Now, I've gone back and it's unlocked the upper walkways of the cave and I'm doing that.

Did a really cool section where I'd killed a wizard in his tower, but after exploring there was no way to progress to the steps above.
Went back again with a McGuffin I'd been given and the tower flipped, so I was making my way down to the top of the tower!
                      Very Castlevania!

Got outside, only to be confronted with the GODSKIN NOBLE again! Nooo!
However, I've fought him so many times and with loads more room to manoeuvre, I sleep-potted and attack set (charge, Bloodhound's Fang, riposte, move away and sleep pot) he got smoked on the first attempt (Although I think he's weaker than the boss version.)

Back in an underground section, which is full of those mudmen, that are slow, but relentless and tend to swarm you without noticing.
Stopped at midnight in a section with those mimic puddles, a load of poison snails and dudes riding atop the acid ants!

Have you tried upgrading a few more of your summons? i didn't use the wolf past the first part of the game their good at distracting but don't do much damage, Lhutel the Headless, Mimic Tear, or Black Knife Tiche where my go to, make sure your upgrading them with Roderika at the round table hold too as they can get pretty powerful the more you play through the game. (dungeons have the materials you need to upgrade them her grave/ghost Gloveworts) .

                          Astonishingly, yes I have!

Was using mangy dawg for ages, which was great for griefing and taking the heat off for a few moments. He was up to 6.
Then my friend told me where Mimic Tear was and I've been using that. He's pretty beefy, but I'm yet to be megawowed, if I'm honest.

Continuing with Ranni's Quest, I had to take on someone I believed to be an ally.
They were making pretty short work of me and I couldn't summon.
Worked out a little quirk in their attack pattern in that couldn't get on a lift at the end of a hall, plus they had to jump into the room, giving an opportunity to hit them with an arrow as they landed. Using serpent arrow gets poison build up, so went to the remote hermit's shack, killed some dino dogs, stocked up on poison arrows and abused their jump animation.

I'd rather be punching them, but sometimes ya gotta do, what ya gotta do.

Now at the lake of rot which is a bleedin' nightmare.
Made my way across the platforms whilst holding the anti-beast torch to stop getting hassled by those poison lizards.
Got to a platform and could see a shape in the distance and fired off a few arrows and saw the shape flinch, then it started a boss battle, dammit.

Kept getting beaten with the combo of a boss attacking, the scarlet rot's almost instant affliction and those bloody googly-eyed lizards.

At one point, I nearly had him. Another time I wondered where my mimic summon was, only to see him pointlessly stuck running at the raised platform, rather than jumping on and this is why I have no problem abusing the animations if the game's gonna screw me over!

Ran out of those anti-rot things, so then went back to an early cave to get some crystal cave moss, only to find that:
A: It only had cave moss
                          B: I hadn't beaten the boss

Then found another cave that did have the right moss and cleared that dungeon whilst I was at it.
There was some scarlet rot knight boss inside.

So I'm at the point where I have a few more anti-rot things crafted and I want to go back to kick the boss' arse.

There's a charm to reduce rot on a distant minotaur guy, but I grief him but he won't get near, just goes back to where he was.
There's a mushroom armour set, but it's from a place I've not been yet.

Id come back when you have the mushroom Armour set, their is no point making things twice as hard for yourself when their is a tool that's in the game specifically to get you past this bit.

If memory serves me correctly there is a spell that cleanses scarlet rot. I think the requirements are relatively low. My STR (Guts) build used it a lot in that area

OK, so I crafted some more of those things that clear scarlet rot, caned it over to the minotaur, killed him, got his charm and warped back to the fire.

Put on his resistance charm and another one I've got, then headed to the boss...
