    Star Trek: Infinite (PC)

Forked from Stellaris, this new 4X/Grand Strategy game from Paradox does a total conversion of the systems and makes it all Star Trek theme and full of fan service.

This isn't just a reskin of Stellaris, although it does share some similar traits (the planet exploration and expansion will feel quite familiar), it's built upon the core, but the mission trees will be more familiar if you've played Hearts of Iron IV and their focus trees - it's a way of following canon events in the Star Trek universe, or not if you follow different branches.

You get to play either as the Federation, Romulans, Klingons, or Cardassians and in typical 4x style have their own strengths and weaknesses, Klingons being better warriors and the Federation better at diplomacy and exploration etc - just as you'd expect from said alliances. There are other minor factions in the game, such as the Betazoids and Bejorians, but these are not player-playable. Given this is a Paradox game, I'm sure there will be DLCs that expand this (but these are always worth waiting till they're on sale).

TLDR; If you like Stellaris and also like Star Trek, you will definitely enjoy this, if not it's one to skip over.

This definitely has me intrigued and looks like a decent take on Trek.
